paradit:
Are you a Singapore PR?
Hello
Looking towards St Hilda, Tanjong Katong and any good schools around Bedok, Tampines. Still surfing some info on good schools. Criteria though difficult for foreigners here
If you are not, then you won't qualify for phase 2B even if you perform PV duties. -
I just received a call from St Hilda to attend an interview for PV.
Anyone attended before? Care to share your experience? Wondering what questions will they ask?
Thanks -
Hi, I am new here. I have a boy & a girl entering p3 & p2 respectively next year. Now they are in TWPS. But I would like to transfer them to CCKPS. Must I do p/v before they can accept my kids ?

PV are for parents with kids due for registration in 2yrs time. in your case your kids are already in primary school.
if you are keen to transfer, approach CCKPS direct to inquiry for vacancies and register for their waitlist. bring along copies of their report book slips and call them before you go down to ask what other documents that you need to bring. -
When u have been shortlisted for PV interviews, usually it’s just for formality or still subject to selection after interview?

It's not a formality. -
so what usually will they ask during the 10 minutes interview, and what do they look for?

From my experience, it was to assess commitment, eg, able to commit the time for PV consistently. Also the skill that you have offered or that they are interested, are you competent in that area.
Oh yes, the commitment part, they might want to gauge will you be committed even after PV period, i.e 6yrs or even longer if have siblings. -
oic… so need to be commited one… wah say… not easy to be PV…

Well, if the school required PV to completed certain tasks and PV cannot complete, the school will be in a difficult position too. Also I think schools also like parents to continue to work with them when their kids are with them. If think positively, more manpower & resources, the school will be able to do more for the students too.
