I would say CSM’s work experience and Chinese knowledge is an asset to singapore - in his own word, a patriot

If he were to be in PAP, I am sure LHL would have made him part of the "fantastic 5" ministerial material

I just read the chinese transcript of CSM’s speech. Beautiful! I know the MIWs in there all very good in studies, but half wonder if the chinese will leave them in a state of blur - liddat then how to rebut? I’m speaking from my very very shallow knowledge of the chinese language.

I don't see why anyone needs to apologise for being clinical and sterile. Adolf Hitler was plenty eloquent and charismatic......not that I am comparing CSM with him, just that I don't see those as being major attributes of being a good leader.

When CSM came to the part where he recited something from confucious, I was in a state of confusion. I was like :scratchhead: My Chinese don't have so much ink leh. Good thing he did explain But it's good to set high standards.
