no lah ! just to share, the result slip is not sealed

they actually put it into a transparent folder, and include other doc like eligibility letters, any other certs from school, etc plus farewell gift from form teacher, very touching !

you mean dog meat masquerading as lamb head?

my ds' subject teachers have given them small gifts prior to their PSLE ..so encouraging and touching right.. :grphug: ...so nice of them
some teachers go to the candy shop and custom-order the sweets with MA, SC, EL, CL and all printed with A* on the sweets ..... and give the kids before the PSLE ..... :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
:rotflmao: ..haaa...really mah!!... :rotflmao:

So by taking the candies, you are \"guaranteed\" A* for that subject? πŸ˜† It sounds like the old time burning the \"fu\" and pouring water to the ashes and drinking that πŸ˜†

DS teachers not so \"result-oriented\" - the candies are for \"Happy Children's Day!\"

of course the kids know the fun of it, and acknowledge that the teachers love them and care for them, doing all kind of things to motivate and encourage them

I think you are mistaken. If you are talking about the olden days, it should be burning all the books and drink all the \"knowledge\" inside to guarantee good results! :rotflmao:

Got trophies one huh? Which schools would these be? I thought schools only find out early that morning when they send someone to MOE to collect the results. Then if there's a top scorer in their midst they'll call the student to prepare him for the deluge of press personnel at the school.
Not from school but from MOE for top PSLE kids. Heard that it's a small trophy.

Wah! So good. My dd's one had nothing. Don't even remember any envelopes or plastic folders.

Is that dog meat lamb head a Chinese proverb? I catch no ball.

Really? My dd's school had a couple of top scorers in the country (listed in MOE's website) and none of them received a trophy on the day the results were announced.

In the past years, we always see those top PSLE scorer being reported in the news. Never remember seeing any of them with trophies :scratchhead: . If MOE provide the trophy, the reporters will definitely ask the top scorer to pose with the trophy, right? Is there another separate ceremony in MOE for top scorers?
