I love Mothercare for those baby one-piece clothes and when older shop at Kiddy Palace! For cots, strollers and the rocking bed, we buy COMBI brand at the Baby Hypermart/Baby Kingdom at Kaki Bukit. We also got our car seats there! Car seats must go to the baby hypermart, there are lots of selections and prices are reasonable although I feel it is not cheap.Hi ladies,
Where did you go to buy your baby stuff? Furniture, strollers, car seats, clothes etc. My baby just uses his brothers' hand me downs (which were bought 7 years ago!) so I haven't had to buy that many baby stuff (only stuff like diapers etc.). But my friend is expecting and has asked me for advice on this. Not familiar with the market anymore. Any suggestions would be most appreciated!
Thanks!
Especially for Baby Kingdom (the second one at Kaki Bukit) certainly not cheaper than in town perhaps because certain things are not so easily available in town shops too. eg. the Bumbu seat!
Carrefour at Suntec city also has a large section selling baby stuff.
Marina Square is also my favourite haunt because in there, there is a Kiddy Palace, Mothercare and John Little all within walking distance. Plenty of food choices too so it makes quite a good and convenient weekend out!

For most of my other stuff like strollers, car-seats, I've been buying from online forums like motherhood, mummysg, ebay, etc many 2nd hand but in good condition. There're also lots of bargains for new stuff too that some mummies got as gifts but never used and you get a great discount.
Hi beanbear,
Thanks for the tips, hope I can eventually use these channels to offload my stuff too! Time is a problem must take picture and post them up etc. Otherwise, I love selling off my unwanted stuff on the web. You get a lot more money compared to selling it off to garang guni or discard it which is such a waste. Can donate to charity too but sometimes you don't know whether they are being utilized or not! Selling it on the web is a win-win situation!

Are stuff cheaper here?
Hi buds,
Not necessarily cheaper. In fact when I went to Baby Kingdom, I got the feeling they are out to fleece you. Perhaps because they are so out of the way, they charge their goods higher price instead? At most expect the furniture items to be on par with Kiddy Palace after negotiating for a discount. Kiddy Palace I feel their prices are reasonable especially since their shops are usually in town areas and neighbourhood shopping malls. Possibly cheaper than Robinsons la if really want to compare!
Your BB must be very cute now!
(btw, what happen to your avatar?)

I usually start my kids with plain rice cereal and then move on to vege puree (pumpkin, sweet potatoes, carrots etc.). I find this website very useful as it provides a lot of info on what to give baby at different months/stages etc. http://wholesomebabyfood.momtastic.com/babyfirstfoods.htm -
Thanks tigger88.What brand are you using?how often and which part if the day shd i feed him the rice cereal?
Northernstar:dont worry.they will sleep longer in the night.for my baby,he got fussier and needs more coaxing to get to sleep.i usually pat n rock him close to me before he dozes off.he wakes up when i put him down so i hv to try a few times b4 he sleeps on the bed. -
I used to buy the Heinz plain rice cereal but I think supermarkets are no longer selling them. Maybe you can try Nestle. Supermarkets do stock up a few different brands; some are organic too.
Usually I will try to feed my kids in the morning or early afternoon after milk feed but I really cannot recall the timing etc. Lost touch…I also need to read up more on this after my bb arrives in a few weeks time.
