you have to take the train because the only way you can check in there is to buy the train ticket first before you can proceed to the check in counter

Was thinking of checking in luggage early on departure day, proceed to Ngong Ping, then head to airport straight from Tung Chung (all in the eastern part).

So, does it make sense to buy the Airport Express tkt (more expensive) just to take advantage of the in-town check-in?? Or, should in go Ngong Ping 1 day earlier?? :?

There are some cabs that can take 5 passengers. When I last visited HK, the cab could take my 2 large luggages and 1 carry-on.

Singaporeans going to HK for tourism and social visits up to 90 days do not need a visa.

Like to sound out parents taking kids to HK such as Disney, Ocean park . Keep a close watch on your kids. There have been instances… enough said .

Yup, thanks for the warnings. As mentioned, those theme parks are swamped with people. I went to HK with my son in June and insisted on taking my P1 boy to the female toilet with me (ie. dun even let the boy wait alone outside the female toilet or let him go to the male toilet by himself). If your DH is going along, make sure he takes your son into the toilet.


If you can help it, dun even bother to go to those theme parks. Would rather visit the Disneyland in US or Japan. The HK disneyland was such a letdown. Super crowded with rude people.

you did the right thing, one can never be too careful over certain matters, esp with kids. They are targeted at the Mainland tourist i suppose. Most working class in HK will find it ex, the ones who can affort it will go to US or Japan.

Are the McDonalds in HK ‘friendly’ in refilling hot water (in a flask), like those in Sin?


If not, are baby / nursing rooms common in shopping malls? Do they provide hot water ?

i think it is better to bring along a thermal flask just in case.


i think the pp there are more flexible and have more common sense and flexibility so chances of getting hot water might be better than in spore. but then you never know.
