      For Ques 3, why did u have to divide the 7 units into halves?

      Tysm MathIzzzFun! 😄 Sorry for troubling you for the past few days.
      u r welcome.. for Q3, it is ok to leave in 7 blocks.. it was divided into 2 each cos I drew only 6 blocks at first so I had to divide into 2 each...lazy to make changes after added 1 more block so I left it \"divided\" 🙂

      have a great weekend!

      cheers.

        Please help in model drawing method prefer. Thanks.

        Corriene and Hariyantie had 1213 ribbons at first. After Corriene gave 83 of her ribbon to her mother and Hariyantie gave half of of the ribbons to her sister, Corriene hand thrice as many ribbon as Hariyantie. How many ribbons had Hariyantie at first?
        Hi

        I am in a rush now, so I can't draw the models..

        in the end,
        C = 3 units
        H = 1 unit

        Before, C= 3 units + 83, H = 2 units
        C+H = 5 units + 83 = 1213 ..I think you can complete the solution from here 😄

        cheers.

              Is there an easier way to solve part (b) besides adding on all the patterns? Thanks in advance.

                Hi

                nth term = n(n+1)/2

                so, n(n+1)/2 = 210, n(n+1) = 420, n = 20

                cheers.

                    Hi

                    amount spent + amount left = 6/7 of money. So, divide by 6 and you will get the answer.

                    cheers.
