        Pen88n:

I was lucky I got a good babysitter thru NTUC childcare recommendation scheme quite some time back (no need to pay any fee!). We were staying in a more secluded area, so my babysitter also did not get babies to look after as her place was not that convenient to many people (it was convenient to me 😉 ).

She did not need the income, but she was bored and wanted to babysit. We visited her and we liked the environment + her kids were well-behaved. They visited us too and her hubby was ok to accept my kid. So, deal done!

She has since moved to a \"younger\" housing estate, so many babies to look after now :rotflmao: When we last visited her last Christmas, she had 3 babies at her place. Now, she had 2 babies left!
I see!! I guess, I am not really looking for a bbsitter option since my boy attends childcare... for us, we are pretty much firm on sending the current maid off... now, to think about how to take care of the hse and child in much easier terms!

anyone with recommendations on dishwasher?? thinking if we shd get 1 to ease the washing of dishes... hmmmmmm

just curious, i heard that some angmohs pay higher salary to maids becos the maid has to pay for own meals and own rice to cook, as in the angmoh wont stock up food for the maid to cook for herslf. true?

and in hk, the maid has to pay for own accommodation, meal n transport?

            hi SMH Forest

I’m currently using the bosch dishwasher. Dishes are very clean. Mine is built in, but bosch also has freestanding ones. For a big family, i find dishwasher more economical…

Hi Breadandmuffins... thanks for the info!! Cooked last wkend, and I think the bigger problem is with the oily kitchen too. Haiz.. how do you all manage after sending off the maid? Does the cleaning of the kitchen deter u from cooking?? Or u will just end up cooking soupy stuff to avoid the mess?? We are still in dilemma over what to do... either get a last maid (last ditch attempt) or do without completely... 1 thing tho, I'm hoping to get preggie sometime next year, so a helper will ease the burden too by then?? HEADACHE!! :frustrated:

So far I didn't notice anything visible after about 6 months of use. I have marble and paraquet as well. They are really handy to have around. :rahrah: A friend just bought one too.

It is my maids who were far more destructive towards my floor leaving behind deep scratches and stains! :stompfeet:
