All About T-Score

I suspect those schools with GEP classes will face such range of T-scores for prelims as the addition of the \"top 1%\" will skew the Mean and SD of the entire school cohort, esp. since the GEPpers account for a reasonably high % within the small school cohort (compared with national cohort).
last year's prelims was 25x - 26xProteX:
Yeah, there wouldn't be any accurate calculations as the people taking the exams are different and the exam standard is different. For example NYPS top normally ranges between 275-290, yet in Prelim this year, the highest is only in the 250s. -
I think other then the higher scores of geppers … Usually the top few classes of students of these Gep holding schools, also can score pretty well …

Totally agree. That's exactly the case in DD's school. -

Yes. The top mainstream classes do very well in PSLE.vlim:

hi, anyone has the 'latest' T-score formula? Thanks.
the formula never changes
the mean and SD changes every year according to the cohort's performance -

The t-score reflected in the result slip is based on their computation of total of 4 subjects for the student.verykiasu2010:

Hi,
Anyone know what the SOP is if the child only takes 3 subjects? My son has exemption from MT. All this T-score calculations is beyond me so would really appreciate if someone can help me with it pls?
If we estimate his marks to be 75-80 for each of the 3 subjects?
Thanks.
