I understand that there will be reallocation fm P3 to P4, ie kids will be allocated to diff classes into GEP/intermingling, HA and MA.

Yes, and the P mentioned about subject banding too for P3 going to P4, though not sure how this works.

There should be another round of reallocation from P4 to P5 (except the GEP/intermingling classes) for HA, MA/subject banding. But P5 to P6 is enbloc, so no more reallocation after P5.

some teachers are enbloc from P5 to P6 with the classes
Thanks. Ha ha have to prepare my girl since she is very happy with her best friends in class

What does mixed ability means? Does the school tell you which class your kid is in - HA and not HA etc?

                math, or mixed ability

                more likely 'math'

math banding in NYPS has been around for many many years

                Thanks.

HA is straightforward. Mixed Ability - what are the criteria? :?
