most probably principal will give a talk. then there are lots of forms for parents to fill in. giro, etc. the kids will get to meet their form teacher.

The things to bring are listed in the orientation letter sent to us. Have you received yours? I received mine already.

Need some advice regarding the no. of sets of uniforms to buy. How many times do they have PE in a week? On PE days, do they change out of their white/blue uniform into their PE attire, or do they wear PE attire the whole day? Thanks.

they wear PE attire about 3x per wk. No need to change, just wear the pe attire to sch. uniform only wear twice a wk. So you could actually buy 1 set of uniform only if the time table is such that there is 2 or 3 days gap between the days they wear uniform. but then at this time, we won't know.

with spore's wet climate, it's good to get 2 sets of uniform and min 2 sets of pe attire.

my son is in 1 Diligence. anyone else?

a few qns,

1) in the mail, we got a book/stationery list.
we can do online purchase or bookshop.

my question, if my son is taking chinese, so other than the other languages, I would have to get basically everything else, including the social studies/health education/music, right? what about the references-optional? <- advisable to get?

if we go online and buy, is it simpler??

2) for stationery items, they have default quantity, my son is rather untidy, do we need to pre-empt and get a few more? or no need?

3) he is assigned to house Lee, may I know which color is that?

4) for black school shoes, any recommendations? as long as all black?

I'll do the following:

1) I'll buy all the books from the booklist except Malay & Chinese language. I'll buy at school bookshop & self collect. Please be aware on the date. The school bookshop receives the book order on certain dates only. This is what my understanding from the letter. I'll go to the school bookshop on Saturday (3 Dec, 10 Dec, 17 Dec) with my order form (green color form).

2) I'll buy default quantity. I believe all this things, we can get it again from the school bookshop or popular.

3) PE uniform for house of Lee is green color. You can check again with the uniform vendor. I'm planning to buy uniform directly from the vendor prior orientation in order to avoid the croud.

4) It should be a black strap shoes. I bought it when I was at my home country.
