Many thanks, jtoh and MummySTay. Your insights are invaluable.

My dd dislikes to "bei" which I think may start to be necessary from p5 onwards if she continues with hcl. She also lacks interest in the language so I haven’t the heart to force her. Guess I am no tiger mom. Even if she continues with hcl, she would need to be top something % before she gets the extra 3 points right? I think to her, the 3 points isn’t worth the effort. Will discuss with her again when she is not playing…

You are most welcome.

Point system:
Pass - 1 point
Merit - 2 points
Distinction - 3 points
Hi Luanee, I am reporting to P6. Thanks.

Hi, ur girl in p6 today? How did u find the exams?

Hi, to DD, the papers were generally ok, except Science. I think she made more mistakes there. Hopefully, the class will perform just as well or better than previous years. DD is hoping more classmates will join her at RGS next year. :xedfingers:
The girls are all so close to one another. They are most likely going to have a big bawling session on graduation day. Gotta prepare more tissues.
so your dd already got in to RGS via DSA?

Yes band 1 is 85 and above. I think most rgps girls are strong in english

So besides class E and F, how are the other classes grouped? Is it random?

My dd is so disappointed she got band 2 for HCL. I told her it is tough coz the total mark is 25. So pro rate to 100% every error u make is going to multiply by 4. So let’s just aim for the normal chinese hee.

Luanee/aqeqiq, to be selected for HMT the following year the student has to get at least an \"A\" (or 75) for MT NOT HMT.... this is what i understand for the school http://rgps.asknlearn.com/webshare/sharing/web/Parent%27s_Hdbook%2710a.pdf%20/url
Thanks ksp. All along i thot must get band 1 above 85 in normal mt to qualify.

Yes, DD is one of the few lucky mainstream girls to get CO from RGS. 😂
I am most willing to share DD's experience with fellow RGPS parents, if you want more info on the DSA experience.

:rahrah: so great! DSA by RGS is a so difficulty task, your DD must be a integrated development girl.

Is your girl with excellent academic records? Or your girl is also strong in other areas?
