      happy to be mum

agree with nms too…used to argue with DH over certain things abt maid too…as you see our maid that just left was our 1st maid too. DH always asked me to look from maid’s perspective by putting ourselves in their shoes.

maid was a fast worker, got initiative to do things without asking, only things, she like to tell white lies and very very prideful. based on contract, should only have 1 days off…but we gave her 2 days off when she finished her loan, 4 days off after 1 year. We can’t stop them from going out and knowing friends. Try to imagine yourself working with no day off can be very miserable. now she is working for an angmoh family & just 2 days ago, she sms me to send her regards to us & mentioned she missed my boys. We also hope she will be happy. Most maids will know and appreciate if we are a good employers.

If i were you, 24hr-Mum, i will give her up to 19 nov salary since she has served you well overall.

Experienced maid are more demanding. This is only normal. That’s why there are employers who prefer to hire fresh maids.

of cos maids hv to plan their own lives tats y i know its time to let her go cos whn they progress one day to become no longer like a

maid they wil gv trouble to us by then. i dun wan to see tat day. n i also cant gv her 500 n wkly off whc she wil demand on nx renewal. surely maids pay hv a ceilg right? anyway the main reason is i hv low tolerance for her blackface n attitude twds my no 1. she seem to define own job scope to carg for no 3 only. my no 1 told me whn she saw her wear new pyjamas tat i bought for no 1, she told no 3 so
unfair (tat i din but for no 3)

my frd had a myanmar maid, first n last, she has own laptop n started surfg net whn she discovered got free internet. my frd ftwm, jus 1 p3 kid, dh oversea, so simple job, the maid started watchg tv, chat hp, surf net. n quarrel wf the kid

My ex-maid (who was staying at my place) was first allowed to close the door. I accidentally found out that she was burning candles (remember, she's the thrifty sort - didn't want to turn on the lights). After that, sorry, no more close door. I don't want to have the house burnt down.

m stil readg old posts: my maid also like to light up candles in her rm acc to her durg prayer time at nite or wat. i told her dangerous but she say dun worry (stubborn). whn i unpack thgs aft shiftg i threw a candle but she pick it back n say she wil use. sigh. first sign of disobedience

i was reading the previous posts abt maids not wearing bras n this thot came to me: what is the maid wears BOOSTER bras?? hee…

anyway, my maid still dresses appropriately (short sleeved top). i know she has red lacy bra and G-strings but since she doesnt do anything funny and its paid by herslf, i dont bother…

raynreg, for filipino maids be mentally prepared. After their first tast of off day, they will start asking for more off days like christmas, good friday, new year's day etc. My first maid was like that, if she didn't get her off day her face turns black for a few days!

Also not sure if you would like to stress on their dressing because my myanmar maid dressed low cut on her off day and she made coffee in that outfit for my hubby. I was really mad!
before my maid was given her official once-in-two-mths off day, there were a few times we were meeting my mum for family birthday dinner. my mum didnt like her (old folks cant accept maids) n my dh say, since she got nothg to do when we were away, drop her at nearby shoppg mall to walk walk.

who knows some time later, my maid one day asked me: mdm, nx time if u r gg to meet ur mother, can let me know earlier? so that i can pre arrange to meet my friends whom i had not seen for years???

sigh...i realised nx time if i nvr inform her or if the family meeting was cancelled last min, will she b unhappy if she cant meet her friends last min?? so u see, nvr give an inch. they ask for a metre.
