Thanks HCTBlues
What time does the ERP starts and where is the gantry? -
I see from onemotoring.com.sg ( ref http://www.onemotoring.com.sg/publish/onemotoring/en/on_the_roads/road_projects/Woodsville_Interchange.html ) that the gantry currently displaced 100m down from original position will be moved back to original by end of 2011, when the Woodsville Junction upgrading should be completed. It will be just after turning right into Bendemeer from PIE (Changi). Hopefully, traffic will be better, as this project has been going on since 2007! Also, I was a bit taken aback by the sewerage works when I drove down to see the SJIJ temp site. It reduced the access road to a single very narrow lane, just after the school gate, so cars will have difficulty turning around to go back. Fortunately, the PUB site says the sewerage diversion works, which is to make way for Downtown Line 3, should also be completed by end-2011 ( ref. https://app.pub.gov.sg/RoadWorks/RoadWorks/IcNrPUBWorksOnRoads.aspx ).

Sorry, the sewerage diversion works should be item #261 on the 2nd link (PUB) given above.

Thanks, I will have to drive down one day and have a closer look. All i can remember of that area is the traffic jam and the chaotic roads and the ongoing construction…Got to wake up even earlier next yr …

ERP should not be the main concern.
If u are avoiding the ERP, then your kids will be waiting for awhile before going to the school hall…said for an hour or a half earlier then other kids?
I feel it shouldn’t so painful for parents who are using the ERP if school hour starts at 8am or 8.30am. ??
ERP Pricing @
Bendemeer Road (40)
07:00 - 07:30\t$0.00
07:30 - 08:30\t$0.50
08:30 - 08:35\t$1.00
08:35 - 08:55\t$1.50
08:55 - 09:00\t$1.00
09:00 - 09:30\t$0.50
09:30 - 22:30\t$0.00 -
Boys would probably need to be at the hall by 7.15am or 7.20am. So its not so much of avoiding the ERP , they have to be there ard this time anyway unless school can start later which I doubt so.

LTA to reinstate ERP gantry along Bendemeer Road
Posted: 12 October 2011 1453 hrs
SINGAPORE: The Land Transport Authority (LTA) will be reinstating the Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) gantry along Bendemeer Road.
This is because the Woodsville Interchange upgrading project has entered its final phase, said LTA.
As part of the upgrading project, the ERP gantry along Bendemeer Road was relocated to facilitate the construction of the road tunnel in November 2008.
With the construction of the road tunnel structure in its final phase, LTA will be reinstating the gantry to its original position, about 100 metres from its current location.
A new gantry will also be installed at the end of the new Woodsville tunnel towards Bendemeer Road.
The Bendemeer Road gantry currently operates between 7.30am to 9.30am on weekdays. The ERP charges and operating times at the gantry will remain unchanged.
Works to install the columns for the new gantry at the end of the new Woodsville tunnel towards Bendemeer Road will start on October 13, while works to install the reinstated gantry at Bendemeer Road will start next month.

Anyone knows what’s the available enrichment & its time table for P1? If need to stay back, what would the arrangement for the school bus.
-
Hi Jav
what do u mean by enrichment? if you are talking about CCA, for P1, there are the optional CCA conducted by external vendor which you need to pay every term. They have chess, soccer & badminton. -
jacsplace:
typical innefficiency of this school. maybe its a blessing in disguise.I called SJI Jr this morning to ask again if I could finally put my son on the waitlist for P1 next year.
I was shocked when the staff told me there were already 20 people on the list and that some of them had applied since phase 2b.
I asked her how could this be because I asked a few times and was always told they were not accepting anyone until the entire exercise had ended.
In fact, I was told to apply in September but I thought I'd be kiasu and just call today anyway since it's the first work day after the exercise ended on Friday.
This is like 29 July all over again. When the school called me after 4pm to tell me my son had no chance of getting into the school.
I feel so sickened by all this. -
Thanks happytobemum. That’s e one I was referring to the soccer which my son loves

Thanks happy-to-be-mum
Any specific place within KSP forum where we can see the other schools' top score? They used to have that past few years (courtesy of some parents & students who actually bothered to compile for our viewing pleasure... hahaha... but this year, there seems to be none.. or maybe it has shifted to a specific location unknown to me.. any idea?) Thanks again
