      starlight1968sg,

Yes, there's a Han Heung wife biscuit outlet near Yau Ma Tei MTR. It's along Nathan Road, walk down towards Mongkok MTR & the shop is on the left. Not a very big shop though. Hope this info helps;)

I’m in HK now. Weather today similar to the norm in sin, but not humid. T-shirts are juz nice & comfortable.

Btw, took the taxi fm airport to yau ma tei, which cost hk$240 (inclusive of charges for 2 luggages). Was expecting hk$350, so it was much cheaper.

Yes, I also saw e shop selling wife biscuit along Nathan rd.

          allcc6,

The taxi fare was cheap! I always pay >HK350 frm airport to Jordan area. Maybe the taxi drivers use different routes bah. Hope when I go again in Dec, I’ll be charged around the range of HK240.

vk2010, thanks for the link. Interesting read... didn't know Han Heung is in financial difficulties! Actually, their wife biscuit is really much nicer than weng wah and kee wah, but packaging and marketing lose out. Other than wife biscuit, I strongly recommend their egg roll too. Once you try it, you won't want to buy Weng wah, kee wah anymore.

You can also get it from Causeway Bay Sogo Basement Food Hall. Han Heung has a counter there. This one will be easier to locate.

Why are you eating instant noodles in HK - food paradise?

I wouldn't touch instant noodles if I were you coz all the noodles sold there are made in China now.

Am thinking of buying some made in HK instant noodles back!

if you go to sheung wan (mtr station: sheung wan), this area is the hoi mei (scallops, sharksfins etc etc) distribution area. Here, you can find some shops that sell the tasty noodles used for wonton noodles (dried version). Different flavours like plain egg noodles, the tasty prawn paste coated noodles. Nicely packed up in boxes.

In the past, we were able to bring home to Singapore a whole roasted goose! So you better enjoy the goose while you are there. Tried Yung Kee - good but super expensive. I tried roasted goose at another cha chan teng near Peninsula Hotel and it was much cheaper. Cannot remember the name.

how much is considered expensive for a roasted goose? If only 2 person travelling, how to finish 1 goose. Can order half goose?
I will be staying near Penninsular Hotel. Will keep a look out for the cheaper goose 😂

My fren who works in HK paid for the Yung Kee meal so I didn't get to see the prices but the 2 of us only ordered a small plate of sliced goose, a plate of 2 century eggs, tiny plate of mixed roasted meats, plain broccoli and rice and the bill came up to S$100+ and I heard her gasp... eheheh

The last time I went to that cha chan teng, I just bought a roasted goose leg/drumstick with rice which cost me HKD60 (Yungkee's costs HKD78) if I didn't remember wrongly.

No need to buy the whole goose. Think it's about HKD400 - 460+ per bird.

I recall Yung Kee had half and quarter potions. I'm sure other restaurants have them too. Enjoy eating!

I have not been to these 2 places in HK.
