2011 PSLE Discussions and Strategy

Ms tay:
Hi Ms Tay! I once spoke to the school councillor and she mentioned some parents just can't accept their kids are having problem...hence they refused to seek help or bring the child to the doctor.... the Councillor herself wanted to meet these parents but they simply refused to drop by and discuss..
I just don't understand why their parents don't apply exemption for them :scratchhead: since they hv language learning difficulty .( even some normal kids r struggling in MT) . It might pull all the way down the t- score and it really disadvantage for them. :sad:Evalim:
Sorry Ms Tay! Ya... I realise is a ds not a dd....oh... he should produce good result, don't worry.... yes I believe too those kids who did not take MT score good in PSLE hence don't worry... my ds's schoolmate some is the same, they have autism but some they keep failing MT, marks like below 20 hence they are opt out for MT...
My younger ds was diagnosed of ADD(Attention Deficit Disorder )he just cannot concernate well in class... I had a hard time too...but of course, I have to consider what's best for my child hence I never push my ds, as long as he can make it into secondary school, I am contented.

Don't worry! I believe your ds will find his interest when goes to secondary... it's a good thing that he is good at his studies... my elder ds CCA is dragonboat...he loves outdoor... used to train hard for his school compeition...he trained 3 to 4 times a week and he can do fairly for his acamedic... guess he learnt to balance both CCA and acamedic..I remembered 4 yrs ago, I joined my elder ds on his open house CCA and we went around to take a look on the introduction of each individual groups (there will be a open house for CCA the 1st week of the school reopen), my ds immediately selected dragonboat as he like canoeing... I told him there will be no turning back for secondary once you selected that CCA stick on to it till your O level, you cannot drop out or change your CCA as 2 marks cannot be deducted for your O level result...
Hence we must be very careful and speak to child before he commits... my ds did all the way... God bless...
Glad to hear your ds is in track and field :hugs:, my younger ds is also in track and field....guess your ds like mine won medals too... so don't worry, I believe they will select a good CCA for themselves in secondary.
Sorry... I can't understand \"how old is ur sp nd child\" what is sp nd child?
I have 2 boys the younger one was dianogised with ADD and he is in PSLE this year.. -
