Yes , strongly agree with u :hi5:DW and myself used to send DD to a private learning centre for kids with special needs (before pri sch) and we found that there were many kids (around her age) with special needs - autitics, hyperactive etc. We tried to find out what's \"wrong\" with DD when we noticed her being \"different\" from other kids but \"experts\" said that she is not autistic, not hyperactive etc etc. In the end, the only conclusion was she had issues with visual perception and fine motor skills. Her \"condition\" resulted in her being very weak in Maths (and anything related to numbers and drawings) but luckily, her language so far have been good enough to get her promoted to the next level over the years - in pri and sec sch.
With early intervention, I am sure parents with special needs kids can cope better. Please also try not to compare them with their siblings as it will stress them more. Over the years, I have learned to accept DD's \"condition\" and stopped comparing her with DS especially Maths results.
The early intervention program is very important for special kids...
Happy for ur dd had overcome her difficultly ! So envious ! :celebrate:
All the best to ur kids

Actually, the results cannot be released before 12noon. However, some schools do reveal on the sly...like giving the top scorers phone calls and telling them to be in school early.Ms tay:
hi all
I heard that the sch will inform the top scorer on the result release day morning ,
Before the principle announce the result, is that true ?
Ms Tay, when you get the phone call, remember to post it here straightaway and let us rejoice with you.

But those are generally very quiet.
With all the current mummies and daddies in this thread, do you think the secondary school thread will be as quiet as this year? What is call migration? The whole lot of us will sure revive the secondary thread, burning it alive man! :rotflmao:verykiasu2010:
Guess we have to gather together here and wait together till the results are out... will everyone still be here till Sec 1 as I don't think there is blog for Secondary parents....
they will migrate to the respective sec school discussion thread where their boys and girls have been posted to -
Ms tay:

All those problems with 1 to 1 tutors etc mentioned here are exactly the same as what we faced in the past. -

School thread :gloomy:
I think that can easily be done! We have the KSP forefathers here, ask them to allow just one secondary school issues discussion thread will do and unless there are specific questions which other schools may not be experiencing, that of course will be an exception to have another thread asking that particular question, or, that's not the case? :censored: -
one section is the discussion threads on individual sec schools dealing with things specific to that school
another section called the \".....support\" section is for general discussion of things in general, discussion thread is by topics

what is this brain refresh technique? Care to share further? Where can we learn if interested?Hi to all parents, many parents are very stress and concern about their child's academic development.
I am so worried about my DS PSLE.But I see many parents keep pushing their kids .They face lots of pressure and workload,I am also worried the kids will be too stressed and it will affect their future.
I am not keen to send my DS to any enrichment classes cos my eldest daughter went there when she was in Pri 6 and we don't find any change.
Recently I sent my son to \"Brain refresh technique\".
After checking the weak points in his body. Everyday I practice this technique with him .He became more happier, stable and willing to participate. And also improves his concentration and memory .One day I was very tired and I try on myself .I found my mind and eyes became clear.
I think this \"Brain refresh technique\" is quite useful for the kids development and the stress parents. It is worthy to try.
