I am almost frozen still here. Most mornings, temp falls below 0 deg C with chilling wind. So brain is not working in full speed and limbs worse, close to hiberating. Maybe age catching up.. cannot tahan cold.

My garang girl still thinks she is in Singapore, dressed herself in t-shirt and shorts everyday. :lol:

My boy got back his EL, MA and CL paper 2 marks ytd. Happy that he has improved tremedously in the EL OE compreh. Disappointed that he has not prefected his checking methods in MA. Very angry that he did not improve in his CL paper 2 :frustrated:


Now waiting for Sci marks and the overall CL marks.

my son did quite badly for CL paper 2. He said very tough paper. I will hv to look at the paper to do a review how to overcome this by next year.
Perhaps this is a sign to me that he should not take HCL next yr.

My P4 boy told me there are some classmates who did more badly than him, discounting the fact that I speak Mandarin to him and he has been attending 2 CL tuition since mid year.

He was ok for 1st half of the year except the OE compreh section as I spent time going through the 4A CL vocabulary with him. For the 2nd half of the year, I made him read the 4B vocabulary alone which he always did a 30 mins job. So beginning last night, it became paidback time. This time I must enforce strict CL revision. Really cant let it go this time.

A lot of us, including myself, alwasy prep CL for exam only.

Actually for language, a lot has to do with exposure.
For EL, we encourage our kids to read, but when it comes to CL books, we tends to be a bit more lenient.

So next year, I am going to emphasis on CL reading.

Maybe it is time to write a reflection for this year liao.
