For those of us going Taiwan these 2 weeks, it is raining according to central weather bureau.

It rained everyday when I went Taipei 2 weeks ago. But it was drizzling and was short-lived. The only time it rained heavily was when we were at Window on China. It rained quite long too. And the rides were all stopped becos of the rain. End up we didn't get to take any of the rides. :sad:

So, make sure to bring an umbrella or poncho with you wherever you go.

BTW, pls also get the free gift coupon from the Taiwan Tourism Board. I didn't get the coupons cos they told me it's only pineapple tarts and free admission to National Muesum. There is actually quite alot of items to choose from, from chocolates, plums and even magnets. Luckily, my hubby's friend has extra coupons and gave us 2. I redeemed the Assam Tea Chocolates which is worth more than S$10. And it's nice too. :please:

Where to get these coupons? Where is the Taiwan Toursim Board located (in Taipei or Singapore)? What do you need to redeem the coupons - passports? airtickets?

I wrote to [email protected]. You need to email them copies of your hotel and air ticket confirmation and they will mail the coupons to you.

Sorry for late reply. Dimsum is right, you can email them or personally make a trip to their office in Shenton Way. Details is as follows:

Today catching the evening flight back to S’pore. Though central weather bureau said last week & this week raining, it started last night. Today also rain.


I wish to comment on the driver Mr Xu Wan Liu whom is Meeky’s friend. He did not want to go shifen and made us wait almost 2 hours at Gold Ecological Park (Jinguashi). He did not pick up our calls despite our calling more than 30 times. We even went to police station for help and used the phone there to call him. In the end he said his phone did not ring coz it was accidentally on silent mode. A lame excuse. In the end we insisted going to shifen but sun set very fast from 5pm and photo taking was not nice.
