      Hi Plum-Cake! :celebrate:
I must agree with Mummy janet_lee - you have become a champion in Science Assessment books! :hi5:

I am c..o..n..t..r..o..l..l..i..n..g.. my hands and feet - not stepping into Popular and getting new Lower Block Science Assessment books! :siam: Guess those that I have should be sufficient to cover till end of P4 before I will chiong for the next level - Upper Block Science!
      Hi Champion...
Buying is easy but make use of it is an art. one must find time, then manage that time skillfully. otherwise before we realise the next SA2 will pop up infront us and dance on our heads.

Oh yes, how very true that is. We always succumb to temptation (or impulse buying). Really have to control myself but the moment I step into Popular, that word C-O-N-T-R-O-L somehow disappears from my brain :stupid:

For my younger one, I don't understand why time seems to pass so much faster when she is in the morn session..compared to my son who was in afternoon from P1-2. We could do much more then, and have lesser assessment books to clear in Nov/Dec. Now I'm staring at the leftovers and don't know where and how to squeeze these in 😒

          Hi Champion,
P4 science covers everything taught from p3. CA1, SA1/2 will also test little bits of P3 here and there. At P5, needless to say, everything will be tested from P3. I just bought My Pals Process Skills lower block for son to revise during this hol. So you don't have to worry about having extra science assessment, especially if there are younger children around as they can inherit  Right ?
          Hi Janet! :hugs:
I am still c..o..n..t..r..o..l..i..n..g.. πŸ˜† Always can't help but gives myself the excuse to \"have a second helping\" to buying ONE more assessment books when I see that the queue is so l...o...n...g.....!! :stompfeet: :stompfeet:

I was contemplating whether should I get ALL the 5 theme under M.C. Science Process skills? [Diversity, Cycle, Energy, Interactions and Systems] :scratchhead:

I e-mailed to DD1's Science T (guess she gonna takes another 2 weeks to reply me :? :?  ) regarding whether the Science dpt can adopt the idea of incorporating Science Process skills in the book-list? The normal Activity book is insufficient

When there are 2 kids, you need to divide your attention and time, even for marking assessment and papers. When both of them are in the same morning session, afternoon time will have to be divided amongst the 2, in addition to all the fetching and sending to and fro from sch and tuition.

Comparatively, the younger kid will always be on a lower priority compared with the elder kid, receiving less attention and coaching from parents unless the elder kid is extremely independent and can handle all sch work.

              [/quote]Hi Pen88n,
How dumb of me not to realize that difference :slapshead:

My older one is independent in the sense I can allocate him work...he will sit there and get it done. Then I'll be beside my younger one to coach her. But no matter how independent the older one is, time is still divided and yes, priority is still on older one. This will be more significant as my older one will be in P6 next year.

The other reason could also be due to workload of my younger one getting heavier. Syllabus is brought down to lower level as compared to 4 years ago. Stuff like models, synthesis is taught at P1.

For me, the L-O-N-G queue at Popular will stop me from buying. HaHaHa.
Tell you what, I'll go through the MC Science Process Skills to let you know whether it's worth getting. Don't get it yet ok ?

Hi, I agree. I have only one kiddo and my 100% attention is on her but not more time lor. cos I didn send her for tutions but she is having enrichment classes. she reaches home abt 5.15 most of the days. And she feels too tired, exhausted to focus on studies. my dd is a slow learner too. so I have to do more questions with her to pick up some techniques.

You can do it for cl,english but no point of doing that for math. straight away start the p2 one.

Ok, will continue to work on P1 leftovers for EL/CL as much as possible.
As for P2, will start on that. Thanks for your advice.
