          Hi,

I bot the books from popular. If you are member, there’s a 5% discount for textbooks. The price at popular before discount only defers by a few cents from the price on the booklist. Except for the grammar handbook, which was on offer at 16.90 vs the booklist price of 21.30. The only books that are not available from popular are the stella handwriting (teacher resource), the maths tests and all of the social studies books (new edition, not available yet).

            Dear all parents,

I just joined this forum today, my girl is currently in P1 of KCPPS.
I hope to hear some comments(good or bad) of what you parents think of KPPS, as
I am a bit worried by the recent news - eg, school reno, change to AM session only, change uniforms, change of principals, move to interim school. I realized that they do not communicate very clearly to the parents.

            Regards,
            Serene

so can i say that getting from popular is still slightly cheaper?

                hi,

my son is in 1 Diligence. anyone else?

                a few qns,

                1) in the mail, we got a book/stationery list.
we can do online purchase or bookshop.

my question, if my son is taking chinese, so other than the other languages, I would have to get basically everything else, including the social studies/health education/music, right? what about the references-optional? <- advisable to get?

if we go online and buy, is it simpler??

                2) for stationery items, they have default quantity, my son is rather untidy, do we need to pre-empt and get a few more? or no need?

                3) he is assigned to house Lee, may I know which color is that?

                4) for black school shoes, any recommendations? as long as all black?

                thanks so much.

                thanks so much.

Yes, after Popular member discount, it comes out slightly cheaper.

It's MOE decision to make all schools to be in single session. Refer to the URL here:
                        http://www.moe.gov.sg/initiatives/single-session/

By changing it to single session, the school requires upgrade in order to be able to contain their current students and it will be funded by MOE. When I joined the PSVG (in order to make myself eligible for phase 2B), I've known abt the school upgrade, however school can't provide the exact date because they are still waiting an update from MOE & it will be done after Guangyang upgrade completed.

Principal school change is something inevitable. I heard the current principal is good. Hope they change to a better one.

You have done the 1st step by joining KSP where we can exchange info.

Don't be dishearten because of this. :rahrah:
