Sorry, don't know much about the sch culture of these schs. Only has a friend whose DD attend Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Sec Sch. They chose the sch for its Christian values & character-building programmes & its affiliation to St. Andrew's JC.

'Band' refers to the ranking of sec schs based on the average L1B5 (1 langage & best 5 subjects) of the sch's O' levels results.
Yes, the lower the band, the better the academic performance of the sch.
You can check out the sec schs banding in the 'Choosing your Secondary Schools' green guide book. Look for the green pages in the front of the book, pg. G-4 to G-10.

I wonder where are the rest of the secondary schools that are not in the list? Does it mean that their results are all beyond Band 9, and so there are only 65 secondary results that can achieve reasonably good results of Band 9 and below? Anyone (from MOE?) care to clarify?
