Hi kiasu mummy,Hi junrahmat,
We plan to buy textbooks from Popular and only exercise books or any other imperative items (like squared / single lined foolscap) from the school book shop - Is this doable?
Can you adv what is a must buy from the book shop other than exercise books? I will heed your adv to swing around to the book shop to get the exercise books before school closes and do you have any idea of the operation hours?
BTW, how many exercise books (single line / sq) does a P1 kid need?
Thanks very much indeed for your adv.
Yes, you can do that. That's what I do too!
Besides the exercise books, you would also need to get the school files from the school, as they will come with the school logo on them. I'm not sure of their operating hours though. However, you can give the school office a call to check. They are a very friendly bunch. The uniform vendor will be in school only on Wednesdays. They should be open from noon to ard 2pm.
I'm sorry but I can adv you on the no of exercise books a P1 kid needs. There's also the jotter books. But the bookshop vendor would be able to help you with that. They should have the booklist for next year already. :celebrate: -

Hi, my son said that there is a change of Principal next year. That Ms Chin will not be the school Principal anymore. Anyone know if this is true?

Yes, she has been on medical leave for a while now…

New principal is Mr. Francis Foo. Heard Miss Chin is promoted.

Hi everyone,
I’m new in this forum and I’ve 2 kids currently studying in Temasek Pri. Come 2012, my dd1 will be in P4 and ds2 will be in P2.
Thus, to have a fruitful discussion abt the school with like-minded parents like yourself. Thanks. -
They started robotics class for P2 now…

Hi,
My DD chose Art Club as her CCA this year in P3, anyone has kid in Art Club? Her 2nd choice is Chinese Dance. Actually wanted her to take up badminton coz she’s too 小姐! -
What is the % of P6 students going to secondary(Express) for Temasek Primary for 2011? Thanks!

Just received letter from Temasek Primary saying that my application to be a parent volunteer has been rejected. It is really quite disappointing considering that I’ve made arrangements at work to take time off to volunteer. Schools certainly don’t make it easy for working mums to volunteer and have a chance at sending their kids to the school of their choice.
Was hoping to get some guidance from parents in this group.
1) How many PVs do the school recruit, on average, every year?
2) Will all kids of PVs get into Phase 2B?
3) For parents who have been rejected as a parent volunteer, have any of you tried to appeal against the verdict? I am curious to know what is the criteria? Would you be able to share your experience with me?
Thank you very much in advance!
Lucas Mummy
