I've called Taiwan Tourism Board. They said to bring airticket and hotel booking confirmation (email) to their office and they will give out coupons / free gifts. They don't promise anything, just said you will get whatever they have in stock and giving away at that point of time.
uh? Still need to go down personally? I didn't do that. And penny mailed to me very quickly. -

The reception said to go down with these and collect on the spot. Hubby said may be worthwhile trip as may be able to collect some brochures with info from there too.Pen88n:

We went for the pre tour briefing and they said in december, weather is from 11 - 17 degree. Are there strong winds??? What kind of clothing is recommended???
I am wondering if I should use those full length jacket I wore for US winter time... wondering if it is too exaggerating. Or just a good windbreaker and sweater works well. :? -
Depending on which part of Taiwan you’ll be visiting. If you’re going to Hehuanshan, it should be very cold as the current temperature is around low-mid 10C.
Based on the past 2 days weather, temp was 20-25C @ Taipei. We only needed a t-shirt/long sleeve + jeans for day (I was wearing my Fitflop) and an extra jacket/windbreaker for night. -

I was in Taiwan 4 - 13 Nov, rained daily except for 12 Nov and the first 2 days where it was cloudy but hot. Bring raincoats for ease of movement. Umbrellas are cumbersome esp. if you are moving about in a crowded area.
