anyone already celebrated or rewarded your kid for being selected? ๐Ÿ˜„

Nope, we did not celebrate or reward our kid for being selected. We are very happy for him but does not feel its necessary to do so. He is also very excited about joining the prog. ๐Ÿ˜„

Like sotongdad, I am here because of the power of google.
My DD told me that there are 6 from Woodgrove Pri School in Woodlands.
I am super stressed out now as I am staying in Woodlands.
There are no GEP schools in the North!!!
        Help help help!!!
No, there is no GEP school in the North. My friend's DD chose RGS and she is staying in Sembawang. From her feedback, RGS GEP is good!

There is a direct bus 961 from Woodlands to RGPS. But do note that in 2014, the sch will be relocated to Mt Sinai.

:rahrah: Sengkang Primary School has two students received the yellow envelope. One of them from my centre. Thus, out of the three from my student care centre, one of from Nan Chiau n one from Senkang Primary got in. Congratulation to both of them and their parents. :rahrah:

Thank you Flowermonaster, just888 and Mathizzzfun!

My DW just received a call from my DDโ€™s form teacher, she is really encouraging!
I am really appreciative of this school for developing my DD during the past 3 years if in the end my DD choose to move.
Great school with great teachers and principal!

After talking with a few friends and parents over the last few days, my dh and I decided to let my son join GEP. For a simple reason that this is a rare opportunity and we donโ€™t want him to miss it.

Although the program seems to be very tough and needs lots of commitments, some parents told me that their child never look back, and with hindsight they said they wonโ€™t want to go back to main stream.

As for allocation of school, I heard priority given to students who lived nearby, so distance seems to be the criteria of allocation. Though not sure if it applies to all school.

Rosyth is moving out to a temporarily campus for 2 years and they will have an in-house student care. So this may be helpful for parents who needs after school care for their child.

Hi, iโ€™ve decided to chose Nanhua for my son. Anybody here send their child there too? Maybe we can know each other coming this saturday during the parents briefing. My younger son next year enter P1 so i also must transfer him too. Anybody with same experience to share when should i approach the school i wish to transfer my son to following his big bro GEP?

If your second son is entering P1 next year you should approach the school as soon as you can to indicate your interest in letting your younger son join his older brother in Nanhua. Have a word with the Nanhua reps during the briefing to sound them out. If there are vacancies they will try to accomodate your second son. If not, they'll put him on the waitlist.
