Hi jtoh, thanks for the info. Then i better get ready my younger son's particular coming this saturday. Or maybe i should approach the school tomorrow instead?
Toxic118, if NHPS don't have vacancy for your P1 boy, will you still go ahead? Do think about it. I remember my DS's year, Rosyth's principal was very accommodating to this request when the parents brought up this issue but did not hear anything from NHPS. -

There's no harm done giving the school a call tomorrow to sound them out.
But hor, remember that your elder son hasn't been posted there yet.

I feel young kids are like sponges. They can really absorb new knowledge of we do not place a limit on their learning or tell them they cannot get it.
I think my DS might enjoy the Social Studies segment as he has a keen interest in local history. I feel overwhelmed just reading the booklet but I think DS is already super excited about the year ahead.
For us although Cat High is the nearest GEP school, we prefer a Christian non-SAP boys school which leaves us with ACS. DS loves playing chess and was in the school team. He hopes to go to a school with a good chess team & that will be ACS. He told us from the start that he hopes to study in ACS.
If we live in Toa Payoh, is that near enough a proximity for MOE to also consider our application for a place there?:) -

Hi, i've decided to chose Nanhua for my son. Anybody here send their child there too? Maybe we can know each other coming this saturday during the parents briefing. My younger son next year enter P1 so i also must transfer him too. Anybody with same experience to share when should i approach the school i wish to transfer my son to following his big bro GEP?
For P1 transfer, it may be a little tough as most schools may have hit the full enrolment during the registration earlier this year. However, they will always put the sibling name in the waitlist. Likely in P2, if not in P3, there will be a vacancy and the child can then be successfully transferred over. Nonetheless, no harm calling the school tomorrow or ask the sch teachers on Sat. -
Intelligent:
Hey Chief, you may want to help us to tabulate the no. of GEP students from each Primary school and it will also help parents to have 1 more factor to make their choice of Primary schools. :rotflmao: Thanks to the parents who help to update the number. Thank you.
Thanks Chief & all the other parents who have been helpful in providing advice.
Super appreciate the support.

Yup.. any parents whose child is in NYPS GEP? I know that their mainstream did very well for PSLE but what about their GEP? Is it as outstanding? NYPS has a very big cohort and students likely to come from middle class family too. Would like to know more about the school and its culture?

Cat High is a Roman Catholic school.
We are Protestat Christians. Not Roman Catholic Christians.
The theology and beliefs do differ although the same Father, Son and HS is being worshipped. ^.^\"
