      Titank,

SA2 comprises of the written paper (70 marks), oral (20 marks) and listening comprehension (10 marks). So, if your son had fared well in the other two section, he should be fine. I also understand that the total SA2 marks include Show & Tell. Not sure of the weightage. After adding all these components up, the teachers will convert to 100 marks to arrive at Term 4 results. Term 4 results make up 25% of overall marks.

Hence, if your son has been a consistent student, you shouldn't need to worry.
70% kickstart in P3. So, the weightage is year end. Hence, i was very stress this exam.

I believe all P2 parents can fully understand, just for this SA2 which constitutes 25% is already stressful for us.

Blue-march, has your girl indicated her CCA choices already? My boy told me they would only receive the form today. :scratchhead:

haha, she was so excited that she surf the school website last nite and wrote a few CCAs on paper, cross out some and finally come to conclusion which one to put as 1st choice. And yes, she knows she will only receive the form today, being gan cheong, she wants to write down her choices first. 😂

Well, my dd wants to join table tennis but was not selected, instead, she was chosen for Indian dance!! Hahaha, I teased her that she might look nice in Indian costume 😆

Indian dance??? Was she chosen for chinese dance also?

Yes, she was chosen for Chinese dance, choir and Chinese orchestra, too. But she was not chosen for any of the sports :slapshead: guess she has no 运动细胞, though she very much wants to join.... 😢

Does it mean that once they make the choice they have to stick with it for the next three years? Or they have the choice to make changes after one year?

I think have to stick till you leave the school. H/w, I felt there is always a chance to \"appeal\" if there are v good reasons to do so.

choosing CCA is easy and smooth for us. We just shortlisted a few and cancelled those he doesnt like. Then, we let him rank them in order of his preference. Thereaft, we take a look and give him a few comments. For those we dun agree, we will explain to him why…and then we compromise and made the decision. He is not 100% happy with the chosen CCA but he understands why we disallow the cCA he wanted. A year into this CCA, he is ok with it.

i did somewhat the same but he still keeps changing his mind...DS is fickleminded.

I am quite keen on the horse riding CCA for my DS..do you know anything about it to share more?

For my boy, he listens selectively. So, he heard that this particular CCA had something that he liked, he immediately indicated his interest in the CCA.
