oh i see, now i understand. tonight grad night, most of the teachers will be there? so tmr they need the day off in lieu for tonight's work and then perhaps also tabulate the report book stuff in time for next week? no wonder they choose tmr as admin day. i thought why thurs so weird, fri would make it a long weekend.

Primary One (2012) Orientation
Hello All :grphug:

Received the above Orientation letter yesterday nite and DD2 was so excited about it ....

Something caught DD1's attention, \"Hey, Mummy - why is mei mei's class allocation \"Request X[a number]\" :? :? I looked again - oh yes, no more 1.1 or 1.10

Anyway, quickly ran through the letter to see what need to be prepared for the coming Saturday. Taken note the importance pointers and then another comments from DD1 again :rotflmao: \"Mummy!! The bus company name has changed! Hooray!\"

Hahaha..DD1 has been complaining about the services of Alan Bus Service and the rudeness of the bus attendant auntie and bus driver uncle :shock:
Nevertheless, with this changes - do hope & :xedfingers: services will improve.

Hope to see more parents whose child going P1 next year to post here :rahrah: :rahrah:

and what does New Pe tee mean? does that mean a change in uniforms?

one more change: the name tags? wonder why they want to embroider now? i know a lot of other schools do it, but I don't really like my son's name to be known when he walks in public (eg in JP). that means next time if we are going out right after sch, i will have to bring him a tee to change hor? maybe that's what the school wants them to do? no more being in public in school attire? :scratchhead:

oh ya, i have to buy one more PE tee and shirt for ds1 too. probably when i go back to buy books?

yes, lkvm is correct. this time they did list out clearly what the different fees are for various distances. yours is $55 cos you are within 1km. After that it is $60 for 1-2km, which is my category. and then so on and so forth.

oh yes, lkvm, i stand corrected again. i took the form out. ok, here’s what it says:

for 2-way: less than 1.5km, $55
1.5km to 2km, $60
2.01km - 3km, $70
3.01km to 4km, $80
4.01km onwards, $90

Now I’m not sure where I am, I will go check.

ok if you are 1.3 then yes, i shd definitely be more than 1.5km. with 2 ds to send to school, i think i will give school bus a miss.

i also have to take CCA into consideration since now they charge $3-5 more each trip! he has CCA 2x a week, so that makes it 5x8 = $40 more a month!

last time we pay just $15 more a month for the CCA bus. so aiyah, after doing the sums, better for me to send them myself.
