        Champion:

Dear Mummy Jedamum, Plum-cake & Janet! :grphug:
:thankyou: for the encouragement & well wishes!

For this SA2 - I give my DD1 the credit for the extra effort she puts in during the 2 weeks before exam. By that PSLE marking week, she has stopped doing assessment books and zoom all her energy to do the past year top school exam papers. I have crossed out some of the school's papers where questions will not be tested this year and she did the same for the balance few πŸ˜‰ Think those papers helped her to think more analytically πŸ˜‚

For assessment books, IMHO - I still standby the following:-
        1) Ultimate Science Guide (LB) for reference and read up after each topic is being taught in school πŸ˜„
        http://i44.tinypic.com/2v2fdsm.jpg\">

        2) Primary 3/4 Longman My Weekly Companion Science Book
        http://i39.tinypic.com/25zs3k2.jpg\">
I like the book as it is being categorised into topics and then by weeks. DD1 finds it is more \"organise\" 🀷 to work on it and she writes down the date besides the topics to cross-check that she has completed the worksheet πŸ˜‰

        3) Primary 3/4 Lower Block Science (Frequently Asked Questions)
        http://i44.tinypic.com/34q5iq1.jpg\">
This is another one that I feel that kid will be able to handle independantly πŸ˜‰ ..Problem is answer right below the question so I have to cut and paste white paper over the answer, make copy again for DD1 to do πŸ˜“ ..To tell the truth - it really \"troublesome\" and \"tiring\" to cut & paste 😒

Above just my own sharing and I must reiterate again - I m in no way related to any of the Author nor Publisher! πŸ˜†

Seems like Longman My weekly Companion Science Bk is pretty popular among the mummies here.

How about Longman Practice : Science Process Skills??
(Sorry, dunno how to insert image, so pls refer to URL below πŸ™‚

              HI Mummies,

If you want your children to score 91/100 for Science, pls ask Champion for the secret  For a FTWM, she is just amazing. But of course, Champion's daughter also co-operated on her part. Champion's hubby also helped by taking pics of LATEST assessment books to tempt his wife :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

Honestly, it's about learning how to apply the knowledge for MCQ...eliminating the 2 wrong options and choosing the correct one. NO tikam tikam allowed. For OE, knowing what keywords to remember...no grandfather story.

                  Champion dear,

You kidding me ? My son only managed a pathetic 66 for his SA2. I'm still fuming :stompfeet: over this. That's why I bought Science (upp & lower block) with one objective this Nov/Dec - DRILL !!!

Just Education Upper/Lower Block MCQ practice.
Teachers' Circle Science P5/6 (OE). Maybe I should get the Science 3 & 4 as well...hmmm.

P5/6 is under 'upper block'. You may want to get PSLE Ultimate Science by EPH.

                        Hello Mummies,

Just to share. This year , last min, I bought both :3) Primary 3/4 Lower Block Science (Frequently Asked Questions) and the upper block.DS read through it, as in the section b two days before exam, he mentioned that its indeed the frequently comes out questions. The only thing one must be able to identify the information as in the answer to be applied to the actual answer in the exam. For mcq, he finds it not much help tho.

Honestly, we have bought many many assessment books, its actually more or less similar. Its just how one filter out the info and identify the topics that are weaker.MCQ questions in psle is very clear and precise, unlike the past year school exam papers. Some can be over testing. So, if its over testing, dont loose sleep over that kind of questions. Also, in some assessment books, some questions are outdated, as in type in just to fill up the page.Pls take note.

This is just one cent of my thought.Hope it helps.

                        Cheers,
                        Leanne

                        Hope this helps.

                        Cheers,
                        Leanne
