      Hi Skss

Does anyone knows why it takes 8 weeks to release the PSLE results?

\"The PSLE is already brought forward by a week for this year. Marking 4 days (say a week). Sending the scripts to HQ and redistributing back to school give them 1 week. Moderations and putting it into bell curve (can be computerised) - give them 3 days.
      All in all 3 weeks.\"

How come the papers would be returned to respective schools? For what purpose?

      Thanks.
      Not papers. results slip distribution...

        just wondering :scratchhead:

If my ds t-score is 260-270 should I appeal to RI or just submit to s1 posting exercise ? Will I increase his chance if I appeal ? Any advice ?

I take it that your son is eligible for the S1 Central Posting Exercise and that he didn't exercise any DSA COs/WLs? In that case just submit using the S1 Central Posting. What's there to appeal if you haven't submitted yet? Unless you're saying your son was rejected during the DSA exercise. In any case, going by past trends, scoring mid-260s should get you safely into RI during the central posting exercise. If there are freakish results and the COP for RI goes up, you can appeal then.

did you exercise your preference / option in the recent DSA ? if you had, you can only go via \"supplemental intake\"

if not, S1 is hassle free. Last year COP for RI was 259. unlikely to go up for this year based on feedback on exams

For me it's if my boy's t score is at or slightly below last year's COP will proceed straight to RI to appeal. 😄

One can roughly know the COP of a particular sch/ schs from the feeback of parents in this forum on the results realease day of S1 posting.
Alternatively, on that day, u can call up the sch to enquire abt it.
