anyone compared price with popular? the bookshop only open during office hours really very inconvenient!!!
btw, friday’s orientation. must i bring my DD? cos she has her concert at 5pm will be very rushing if she were to go. anyone can advise? -
For book prices, they are fixed by the publisher, so the book shop (and popular) can’t change them. But Popular will charge additional 7% GST i think.
As for orientation, I think the kids need to be there. It’s to familiarise them with where to go, queue, etc. when they actually start school, and will not be lost or worried by the new environment.
That’s why dw sent to buy the uniform yest, so that ds can wear for the orientation tomorrow.
Perhaps can go off early if really necessary? -
forgot: i think the orientation is also to familiarise the kids with their form teachers and classrooms, plus maybe classmates. Likely will show them the toilets, canteen, etc.
If not attending, then it will mean first day of school will be completely ‘brand new’… -

I picked the whole booklist and stationery, costs around 350+ and the uniforms around 90+. Total damage at least 450. -

There are six books (paid) but to be given out when the school year starts. And there are no available stock of the black PE shorts (S size).greenredapple:

My DD has her kindergarten graduation rehearsal on that day too. I checked with the school, it is best to go for the orientation to get to know other classmates and teachers. The parents can get to know one another too.anyone compared price with popular? the bookshop only open during office hours really very inconvenient!!!

I will try to get DD to come for the later part of the orientation if possible. For your case, you probably get to the beginning part of the program.
