      tat2003:
Wondering any parent here know about the criteria for the class allocation for P3. Can we request the school to publish the result (based on the allocation criteria) of the students allocated to the top class

The top 40 will go to top p3 class...

Itโ€™s based solely on english & maths results. the top 40 students with the highest total marks for english & maths will go to the best class.

should be the whole year overall results if i am not wrong. for p3 to p4, it will be total marks for english, maths & science.

Thanks. Did any parent here ask for the cut-off point for the class allocation?

no cut-off point. simply the top 40 with the highest marks for english + maths.

chinese is never taken into consideration in top class allocation because students will be grouped according to their ability when attending chinese lessons, thus only the non-chinese subjects are taken into consideration. thought this is mentioned in the same letter. do check it out.
