If it follow its precedent, P1 will be en-bloc to P2, this means the whole class stay together for the next year. P3 is the year that the school will start to stream.

We have recently enrolled DS into Ananias.

As we were there on a Sat, there weren't many students. Environment seems ok. We spoke to the center's supervisor who gave us a run down on what the daily programme is like (Shower, Lunch, Homework Supervision etc). As DS is currently in a childcare, it looks similar to what he's already used to. I like that the center will organise excursion during the school holidays. It also helps that the center teacher will fetch them from TGPS. If only, the center doesn't have TV programs.

One more week and the kids will be out from school. Now trying to find activity for my DS to do. Anyone of you heard of the ex-Teck Ghee CC Camp which is now called Camp Mumbo? Thinking of putting my DS there this year. Highly recommended by a mom I know. Any input is highly appreciated.
Anyone know if the text book will be changed next year? Saw some parents selling 2nd hand text book at good price and kind of interested to get from them.

Just heard from \"roadside news\" (not reuters...hehe) that the school will be changing its operating hours and kiddos time table will be adjusted. I had not received anything official yet, so probably those parents whom are attending the upcoming P1 Orientation may get first hand information. Please update us once it is official...

Yes, this camp rang a bell and i had wanted to sign my girl up but she said she does not want to join because need to stay overnight...not sure now that she is more independent, will she like to try

Wow, changing school hour! I sure hope it will start later for kids to sleep a bit longer. But then it will mean get off school later too :-(. Hmm, will be interesting what it will be. Hmm orientation will be during school holiday. Likely the school will inform existing students before holiday. Let’s see.

With the new principal this year, do you see any different compare to last year with the previous principal? It seems the previous principal is well-loved by many.


Told my boys about staying overnight at the camp. They did not object to it too badly. I think they do not know what to expect yet since this will be first time for them :-). But one of their friends will be there so I hope that helps :-).

Forgot to mention that this year the camp will be at Yishun JC instead of Deyi Sec school. A bit further now. But the enrollment still go through Teck Ghee CC. Closing date on 11 Dec.

Yes, your wish is mine too, can sleep in later. The current morning calls at 6am is a \"nightmares\" I believe the school will inform all prior to school closure next week till 2012!

Thanks for sharing the camp information and i will check with my children if they are game enough this year.

Mr Tan (ex-principal) and his dedicated staff deserved much credit for building TGPS from scratch and he had created a good reputation of the school among the AMK Zone Pri Schools.

Madam Chua came onboard this year, so it's too early to pass any judgement on her management style or changes to the school curriculum.

Quoting what the new MOE Minister said when he was asked about how soon his new Moral + Maths idea will show result. He said using the example of how a bamboo tree grows \"nothing comes out of the ground for the first four years, but the tree can suddenly reach 27m in the fifth year.\"

So we shall look forward to the TGPS \"Bamboo trees\" reaching the next higher ground under the leadship of the new principal.
