          Hi,
Mine is the normal red deeper pan. I am outside and I asked my mum to help me to weigh. She said it is 1.25kg. Hmmmm. Thought it should be 1.6kg. Think we need to ask Chenonceau to weigh hers and let us know since her husband bought from Korea dept store.

I bought from Star Shop. Which seller did you buy from?

ksme: mine is from Smart Green Style. The ocher pan weighs 1.6kg+. The red one might be lighter than the brown one as it has 3 layers of coating but the ocher has 5.

Chenonceau: what’s the weight of your ocher pan bought directly from korea?

My concern about the weight is the authenticityof the pan, is the pan imitation. On Bizj website, the basic pan weighs 1.5kg but Lejel website, the basic pan weighs 1.7kg. Whose real?

I think the weight +/- 0.1/0.2 kg is acceptable considering the different scales used. IMO if it is imitation, the pan will be poorly made, as in the edges are rough, joining not in alignment, paint quality etc. Take a look at Alex Yong's blog and you'll see the difference.

I dunno how heavy. We dun have a weighing machine unless is for flour. I also dunno what is ocher pan. Hubby bought it for me and men being what they are (dun like too detailed instructions), I gave him very simple instructions.

Go to the mall. Buy a Happycall.

I complicated things somewhat by asking for a 55mm pan. He couldn't be bothered to check the depth and so he got me a 75mm. Then he had to go back to get me a 55mm. I think he would have given me an earful :torchme: if I had asked for this or that weight and dimension and 3 layers and 5 layers and ocher ... all that.

So I dunno what I have. Since I have it, I dun really care 😉 'cos I can't change mah 🆒 ... and since I bought it in Seoul, it should be authentic. It works well for me so...

55cm Pan is the normal supposedly 1,6kg red colour pan. 75cm if it is Red in colour is the HCP deeper pan. If it is Brown in colour, than it is Ocher supposedly 1.9kg.
