I complicated things somewhat by asking for a 55mm pan. He couldn't be bothered to check the depth and so he got me a 75mm. Then he had to go back to get me a 55mm.

So I dunno what I have. Since I have it, I dun really care πŸ˜‰ 'cos I can't change mah πŸ†’ ... and since I bought it in Seoul, it should be authentic. It works well for me so...

55cm Pan is the normal supposedly 1,6kg red colour pan. 75cm if it is Red in colour is the HCP deeper pan. If it is Brown in colour, than it is Ocher supposedly 1.9kg.

Oic. Thanks!! It's good to know that I have that special coating and 5 layers of it.

ocher 1.9kg, that’s what most people think, including me, until I weighed mine, it’s only 1.6kg.

Chenonceau : if you have a bathroom scale, you can weigh yourself and weigh again with the pan. The difference will give you an estimate of how heavy the pan is.

I dun have bathroom scales. πŸ˜‰ No use weighing myself. Weighing doesn't help me lose weight.

uhm.... does it matter if it's 1.6 or 1.9? :? as long as it's the real deal and it works, that's what counts right? πŸ˜‰

                :imanisland: yooohoooo Chenonceau,

Just wanna say :thankyou: for the roasted garlic, bacon and potatoes recipe. I cooked it using my latest kitchen toy and it turned out yummy. The girls and hub loved it. Didn't follow your timing tho, just went \"with the fffeeeeel\" and flipped as when it needed to be flipped. Texture of potatoes turned out just nice.

Ate that with spaghetti aglio olio with mushroom (also cooked using HCP) which we had for dinner last nite. πŸ˜‰

there are many imitation of red pans, and it’s scary as these imitation pans may emit toxic chemical while we use the pans. the imitation brown pans has yet to surface and its actual weight can be a reference for those who wishes to make future purchase, in the event these imitation brown pans surface. However, the imitation brown pans can also weigh the same as the real thing.

                      kids_r_innocent:
The pan i have bought disappointed me on the following:

                      i) The coating near the \"U\" shape vent came off juz after a week's use, exposing the inner red coat.

ii) Attempts to get the seller to exchange but no avail (after several emails) as I have to send my old pan back to them first before I can get my new pan, n international postage has to be paid by me first (I dun feel comfortable with tis arrangement as there's no one to guarantee a new pan n refund of postage back to me).
Prior to that, the seller even insisted that their pans does not have such problems before though i have forwarded a photo as proof n they even told me that the pan has to be washed with a soft sponge.

I have given up on getting a exchange or refund from the seller as my last request for refund was counter back by them as they requested me to get back to SG gmarket headquarters.
                      Hi kids_r_innocent,
Can you take a pic of the paint coming off? I bought from the same seller as you and now am concern after seeing your post. Are you still using the pan?

Hi could I ask if you gals bought the one with hook hole? Or without?

                        Any diff?
anybody has an answer to this? cos the pans showed on channel U do not come with that hole in the handle but the ones in gmarket seem to all have that hole? I inquired one of the sellers on gmarket and he replied that the ones with holes are new design? i wonder if it's true...anyone knows anything?
