      Hi knuckles

I previously was sourcing for a pre school for my kid (gg K1 next yr) last month or so, came across My 1st Skool at Bishan 153, liked e environment but was told by the centre that there aint enough K1 kids so they may not open the class.
So i went to register my kid in another nearby school.
Just today, the principal (cheryl?) called me, said they need 8 to start K1 class and already 4 confirmed… I will be visiting the centre this wkend and will make a decision soon…
Can you share alittle more on their curriculum / programmes / teachers’ quality?

Visited the bishan MFS… new schs are always nice and clean! I hv no doubt my kid will enjoy this sch (becos there seem to be alot of things/toys to play/explore) but i m concerned abt the curriculum and staff quality. Kindergarten is a v impt stage for kids to establish their foundation before hitting P1. Seeing my older kid (now in P1) confirms that i REALLY need to put my younger one into a good kindergarten that is not only academic but fun (where got so good rite? :p)

Appreciate if anyone can share their views on MFS curriculum esp K1/K2?

            Hi knuckles and ilovechubby,

I have been reading this thread and decided to register in KSParents to post my comments.
I am going to enrol my boy in MFS in Bishan 153 next year for K1 class. When the principal, Cheryl called up, she says I am the 8th person to confirm the vacancy. So I guess there will be no problem in starting the K1 class next year, I hope 🙂

I will be going down for registration cum one-to-one orientation 2 wks later with my boy, cos that's when the principal is available to be ard.

Has anyone confirmed registering for K1 class in this MFS?
Similarly, I hope to receive any comments/feedback on MFS curriculum too.

              Hi knuckles,ilovechubby and simple mum,

I am interested in registering for the K1 class next year.
Can I check, what is the timing of the class?
How about the teacher student ratio?

              Any idea about the curriculum?

              Thanks.

                Hi all

As mentioned in my earlier post, e only thing that attracts me to this CC is becos it's new (thus clean)... But frankly I m still not extremely convinced of its curriculum n teachers quality... No one has given me any feedback anyway.:) After e news of MFS opening another 50+ CCs in 2012, it maybe 2 effects... E sch gets more popular or e sch will face more teachers shortage/turnover issue.. I realy duno. Anyway it's always gd to visit e sch n hv a feel yourself, bring ur kid along too. Most imptly ask them abt their curriculum n how they can help for P1 preparation. Good luck! 🙂

                  Hi Kemmy,

The best way to find out if a cc is suitable for your kid is to call up the school and book an appt with the principal to visit the school and ask as many qns as possible. That's what I am going to do when I meet up with the principal 2 wks later. I will update you gals on what I have found out.

Btw, you may like to call up Cheryl (the principal) at 66349989 and visit http://www.myfirstskool.com

                  Hope this helps 🙂

Hi all, I’m thinking of placing my toddler in Shooting Stars CDC located near Marymount MRT, anyone has any feedbacks about the centre?

Hi, does anyone has any suggestions on programmes for 1.5 to 2 year old near Upper Thomson? Not looking for a childcare or kindy, more of once or twice per week, 2 hours programmes type.
