Yep, checked with GO. Wed no school because of PTC. Friday, only Prize winners need to be in school so for the rest of us, no school too.Andaiz:
Hi,

KiaParent:
Are academic prizes given during speech day for topping individual subjects like Math, Science, etc?
Hi. Yes, also for top overall scorers. -
Strange, dd ever got full marks in one subject for both Sa1 and Sa2 in one year. No prize. Is it for all levels? Only top overall?

If your dd is not in p4, you can ask the FT to clarify on wed during ptm. I find it strange too because my dd mentioned that some of the girls who are getting prizes are also top subj scorers. Based on your dd's experience, it could be that they give prizes to overall top few scorers only. -
Hi aqeqiq
Thanks. Never mind lah. Already over so long ago. Just curious. You mean they donโt give for P4 and higher? -
Funz:
DD said they are having a class party.
wah, so fun! I hope DD has hers too. :please: The last time they had a class party, the teacher suggested crisps and 30+ of them came with potato chips :skeptical: and her jellied marshmallows just flew off the plate.
Strange that now they can't bring home-cooked food. NEA regulation? -

Believe they give prizes up to p5 but don't know about p6.Hi aqeqiq

So far no complain from her and she also enjoys the lesson. She will continue next year.
Good. We'll see how she goes on the holiday programme.
Thanks, KSP. I'm also thinking about the holiday programme but very siong indeed 1.30- 3.30pm for Compre, then 3.30- 5.30pm for Compo.Andaiz:

Yes, my dd. I would recommend your dd to go for the 3hrs session. More comprehensive and cover almost everything. She would probably meet someone she knows from RGPS.
I feel tired just thinking about it.
With regards to the 3 hours session during term time, can DD absorb?KSP:
I have looked at the holiday programme schedule too and is like another normal school during weekdays for those who sign up. If you can make the arrangement to ferry your dd and she enjoys it then i think is ok.
But i don't think i'm signing up for my dd coz of the timing. Most importantly we want to relax and enjoy this holiday. :imanisland:
Hehe, I'm teaching her that if you don't work hard during term time, you need to work hard when everyone else is having fun
She'll have her fun lah! But after the hard work...
