Precisely. Friday was for classing. Shouldn't that mean kids should know which class they are going to next year ?dyh:
My boy got back the report book today with a letter for next year's subj combi (our case HCL is not recommended), no class allocation yet.
So would you still sign him up for HCL? \"Not recommended\" does not mean \"not allowed\" right?
Last year, my son didn't know about his class till much later.
If a child is 'not recommended' for HCL, the CL teacher will not help him/her speak to the P to have a change of combination.
The letter's format has 2 columns- sch's recommendation and the parents' decision and this sentence \"the subj teacher and the sch will advise you on your option if need to.\" Then at Parents' Acknowledgment section \"I understand that any subsequent change of subj combi will be based solely on my child's performance at P5 and the sch's professional judgement at the end of end 2011(shld be 2012). Your child's sub combi at P6 in 2012 (shld be 2013)will be based on the sch's decision.\"
Seems like this year parents' decision can override sch's recommendation.
I talked to my boy's CL tutors, both strongly believe he is capable of handling HCL. He, of course, wants to take the easier way out. -

Based on the naming system for next year P1, I think they might change the class name and allocation method again. Will have to wait and see.Jennifer:
