WorkingMommy:
There seems to be no Parents-Teachers Meet for the year end. I'm disappointed because I think it is important to hear Teachers' feedback on our child's progress. The school started well with three PTM in the first half but thereafter zero...

Agree. At first I thought overkill becos so fast meet (teachers may not know our kids), now it's all silence. A bit strange becos if there's anything that our kids need help on, won't it be good to let us know before the new year start?
As for books, they are now gathering old books from students. I think only if there is enough supply then they will let parents pick; if not, it'll be donated to NTUC.
Was mulling about used textbooks. it's nice not to have to pay for those, but then, I had a 'not-fun' time erasing away the answers inside. Then again, DS told me he like used books, the answers are inside (rub already still can see indent). haizzz -
May I know is 17 Nov the last day of school?? Misplaced the memo from the school. They used to post those memo on their school offically website before they revamp it.

me too… looking forward n get myself mentally prepare for the PTM session already. The moment I received the memo from the school telling us that day itself they will get the report book the following day I applied leave already.
I agreed with hquek. Beginning of the year… met twice… now nothing… They should have it so we parents know where our child’s weakness is so during the holiday we can do something… -

Yes, thu is last day. Fri is prize giving day only for those receiving awards. The newsletter is on their new webpage but I guess they forgot to upload the Nov issue

hmmmmm....here's my take, if there's no year end PTM and you wish to know which areas need extra work, maybe can email to your child's FT and MTT.
Maybe it's the school's way of telling parents to chill and let the kids enjoy the school hols?
An ex-teacher shared that P1 work is for kids who do not have pre-school education to catch up. The foundation of primary school education starts in P2. -
Had the same thoughts as SAHM_Tan. But then, if there are areas to highlight to parents, year end would be a good time also. By the time first term is over, there is not much time. Not sure if this (ie no PTM) holds for other levels as well.

Any idea if we can still get used textbooks for P2 from school this year? If yes, when? I gomouser P1 textbooks this year during the buy textbooks day.
There is a memo from School. There is this Great Textbook Exchange going on now in School. Check it out. -

Last Day is 18 Nov -
One question. When will they send out the booklist for next year? I’m not sure if DS got anything today.

I did a random comparison of the prices and seems that the school bookshop sell cheaper than Popular.
