Thanks for sharing the camp information and i will check with my children if they are game enough this year.

Mr Tan (ex-principal) and his dedicated staff deserved much credit for building TGPS from scratch and he had created a good reputation of the school among the AMK Zone Pri Schools.

Madam Chua came onboard this year, so it's too early to pass any judgement on her management style or changes to the school curriculum.

Quoting what the new MOE Minister said when he was asked about how soon his new Moral + Maths idea will show result. He said using the example of how a bamboo tree grows \"nothing comes out of the ground for the first four years, but the tree can suddenly reach 27m in the fifth year.\"

So we shall look forward to the TGPS \"Bamboo trees\" reaching the next higher ground under the leadship of the new principal.

Well said about the new management style. Yes, it is too early to tell. I have no experience with Mr Tan so won’t be able to compare. Just hope that whatever it is, TGPS still a happy place for the kids.

Hi Astee, DS brought back report card for term 4 only. Do you know if the teacher will provide report that show the full year performance?

Like the word \"unleashed\"...haha. Yeah, i am also sourcing for some acivities.

I believe the school has changed the reporting system, the P1 do not have report books, unlike my girl time in 2009. Now they just bring back Holistic Assessment Reports to show the results of term 4 test and also performance tasks reviews.

I am a little concerned as i don't have an overview of my DS performance in comparison with his class or level performance. But i guess this may be in line with MOE guideline to do away with Exams for P1/2 comes 2016.

My P1 son told me yday there’s no report book. I was shocked. Like Astee, I would like an overview of my son’s performance thru’out the year. I cant rbr his grades for the previous terms. I had asked for copies but I reckon his FT is too busy. She forgot. I wonder why they do not want to give out the report book for P1.

Oh so there is no report book fir P1. Hmm, then we won’t know DS overall performance. May be can drop the teacher an email to ask about it. I will try that then.

I had checked with DS FT and she confirmed P1 no report book, only the holistic assessment card. So we parents, have to do our due diligence in photocopying their assessment forms and keep in the child file to compare his overall performance for the year.
