Changes to what hour, can share? DS did not mention anything today and we are outside now. Can’t wait to know it.

Thanks a lot Astee for the first hand information. Hmm. I wonder what is the main reason for the change. What do you think of the hour? DS still take nap most day. With new hour, he won’t be able to do that someday. May be good to help him to cut the habit 🙂

                    hi Rejoice,

I had checked with DS FT and she confirmed P1 no report book, only the holistic assessment card. So we parents, have to do our due diligence in photocopying their assessment forms and keep in the child file to compare his overall performance for the year.

                    Regards,
                    Astee
Hi astee, does ur ds ft allow u to keep the assessment card for more than a day? When DS showed me his assessment card, I told him I want to photocopy it, but I worked late and the shops were closed, so I will hv to keep it for a day to photocopy. He refused cos he was so afraid his tr will scold him ...sigh

                      Hi bluebellas,

I will photocopy the day my children bring back the report book/assessment card because they will need to return it to the FT the foillowing day. It has been a standard practise since my girl started P1 in 2009. So for me, it has become my SOP 🙂 As you are first time dealing with P1 report, it is understandable that you may still not be familiar with the system. As you are working late, you can get family members to help out with the photocopying. Alternatively, you can ask the FT for an extra day.

                      Good luck!

                        Hi all,

Not sure how many of you sharing the same feeling about the new school time. I am a bit concern about kids having to have lunch at school 4 out of 5 days. The school only allocates 30 minutes for lunch hour and given that half of the school will be having lunch at the same 30 minutes, how does the school help the lower primary (especially P1 and P2) kids to get their meal and complete withtin the short time. I foresee that most of the time will be wasted for queuing and only left very little time to eat. I once ask DS if the canteen is crowded at lunch time, he told me of course since many upper level kids have CCA or enrichment class. He could not finish his pack lunch most of the time let along if he has to decide what to eat, queue and then eat:-(. Also does the school canteen has enough table and chair to house half the school students at one time? DS told me sometime he can not find place to sit at the canteen. I intend to write to the school to ask for clear clarification to my concerns. For parents who are going to the P1 orientation next week, if you share the same concern for your little one, please voice it out to the school as well. Thank you.
