Thought someone posted the hp num of the auntie in earlier post? You may try calling. I tried to get HP num from her but she refused. As I said, must see carefully under normal light else won't be able to tell the difference. I actually brought my boy's uniform to contrast when I want to buy new uniform (lesson learnt last yr). But for the same size, the current stock all the same, so no point going down unless you change the size. That;s why I am waiting for new stock since no hurry for my case.

i did call before i post but she never picked up the phone. I thought someone has called and asked before this week which days are opened.

I compare with my PE T-shirt which is pure white so can see the contrast and yes must really really look carefully then can see difference. my mother in law keep saying where got difference until i show her the contrast between the PE tshirt and the uniform. I bought 2 different sizes for my girl so i will just check with her first loh

Personally, I think we have to instil the right mind-set & attitudes into our kids that no matter which teacher & what subject, regardless of whether we like or dislike the teaching method (as long as it's not abusive), the kids have to pay attention & clarify doubts in class, do the work (even 笔记 that is not graded) diligently as a form of respect to the teachers & adapt themselves w the various teaching methods while trying their best to meet teachers' requirements & expectations. Else, they would not b able to fully utilise the resources given, be it the best or not. JMHO.

I totally agree with u. :). Always tell my children must respect the teachers and do their work diligently.

            Hi trinitee

            I have sent u a pm. 🙂

            Cheers
Mine in P1. But knowing the pos will let us better guage where he stands and maybe can work on it. To me, level pos is more meaningful than class pos as in a cohort.

Was P1 given the mean, max, min & std deviation stats this year? We didn't hv those last yr.

Yes, for both class and level. But not very useful lah.
I explained the table (except std deviations) to DS so that he can c the big picture & identify the strength of his class & himself + potential room for growth on subject basis. Also take home a v strong msg that every mark counts when he was taking the test/exam so must be careful & check! 😉

                  Hi sc88,

Just curious, how did ur DS’ class fare statistically, compared to level’s average on subject basis?

My DS’ class’ average is better than level’s average in English & Maths but on par for Chinese. Their minimums r at least 60 marks & above.

A class in 1st 5 alphabets did marginally better in English & on par for both Maths & Chinese on the average. Their min r from 35 marks, so majority of the kids shld b doing quite ok too.

The last time i went to bata at compass point, they don't carry black shoes with lace. 😞

I just went to bata and saw black shoes with lace(brand:Northstar) $29.95.

want to ask something. a lot of mummies here says they bought the textbooks from popular which is cheaper and i checked indeed cheaper by $0.10 to $0.20 per book. However i noticed the books for the booklist has a different publisher from the one in popular. Eg the discover maths publisher in book list is by Marshall Cavendish but the one in popular is Panpac. so my question is are they are the same?
