Thanks Blackbelt
Hope my DS will enjoy his primary school day!! -
Thanks Blackbelt for sharing the info.
Looking forward to the 12 Nov. -
Any body know whether they have vacancy in P1, as I want to transfer my daughter to this area.
-
You can call the school to ask if you can transfer her in for NXT yr P1.

Just attended the 12 Nov P1 oriantation with my boy. Heard during the brief given by the principal that he is leaving next year. A new principal will be taking over but she is not here cause of other commitment.
Don’t you people think its important to just show face say hello to 200+ P1 student parents. At least we know who is she. -
Hi,
My DD in P1 next yr too.
>>>Freedom73, that’s a norm for all schools. The new P is current P of Concord Primary Sch. Maybe she has Orientation in her own sch to handle on 12 Nov too! Class allocation is random. For children who has not take the test (basic Eng & Maths) during Orientation, there will be one in the 1st 2 weeks to identify children who needs additional support during their P1 (enter LSP). -
Hi,
My DD will be also in P1 next yr. My wife attended the orientation with her but half way got to leave bcos of some other activity planned. When was the test conducted on the oritentation day? -
Your DD won’t miss the test. She will be tested in class when school starts, could be 1st or 2nd week depending. My DD also was not tested anything but my friend’s DS in another class was tested on writing and reading skills on that day.

Hi, haro_ogenki,
I was there at the orientation too with my friend and her DS was not tested. Which class is your friend’s DS? -
My fren’s DS’s class is 1P i think.
Not to worry, this test is island-wide in all schools. It is a measure to identify the weaker ones so that additional support could be rendered to the child and ensure the child can be on the right track.
