depends on what your child likes to eat (or not eat). I think roti prata with egg is $1.20 (thereabouts). For drinks, they sell by the plastic bottle/packet drinks - that one easily $1 or close maybe? I think a cup of fruits is 60cents.

so far I give DS $2 a day and he doesn’t finish it (becos our friend don’t eat mostly). water bottle comes in handy (also dun like him to drink too much sugared drinks).

Despite all this, recess is short, I think most kids rather spend the time at playground/field than queuing and eating.

Not sure if able to check the prices of the food at the canteen on Fri....

Parents pls share, what's the price range for the cost of food in the canteen?

        Which is the popular stall?

How much does a drink cost? Green tea, milo?

        Thanks thanks. πŸ˜„

Planning the amt to give to DD1. Understand food will be catered for 9 days but after that still need to estimate how much money to give her per day.
$1.50 will suffice. Matter of fact, HWS canteen is among the cheapest in SG. One of my concern is Tit-bits and Soft Drinks are available in canteen but it is necessary evil.

My DS2 spent alot on those stuff. sigh.

Thank you hquek and lionheart πŸ˜„

As for the tidbits, I'm trying out if I stock up \"good quality\" snack at home for her to eat, will this deter her from normal snack. Will see what's the outcome when she's being tempted by the tidbits at the canteen πŸ˜‰

            Hi,

Still new to this platform so please pardon if I sound blur… I am interested in PV, but not sure how to apply to HW. The application form is not found on its website, and HW never respond to my request sent via the feedback channel. Should I call up the general line or visit the general office direct? But realised that it is school holiday already, should I wait until school reopens??

              Hi LindaTT,

hmmmmm, I searched the website but could not find the application form, it was there before the revamp. I PVed 2010/2011. I will be attending the P1 reg tmr. If I see lionheart, I will ask him about it. If I do not manage to see him tmr, maybe you can try the school number 6294 3340.

lionheart do drop in occassionally, so he might reply your post too πŸ˜„

May I know which year your child is attending P1?

              cheers πŸ˜„

Yes. I would like to comment my form-teacher who has been teaching my class since P3. He teaches english, maths, science when P3 and P4 and teaches us english (and music)only when we are older due to there are better subject teachers. He frequently got some disney's movies for us to watch while he gave out slips of songs sheets with some blanks for us to fill. When it comes to the part where the movies characters began to sing, he would remove the subtitles and tell us to use our ears to listen for the word that was not filled in (blanks). This method would allow some pupils whom haven't watch the movie to have a chance to watch and not only that, it trains our ears for listening comprehension and let us learn new vocabulary.

Urm.. every teacher in the school is nice of course, but it's matter how you look at the teacher. If you don't like the teacher due to the subject, you would say teacher is not nice. But if you have passion to the subject, you would say the teacher is nice. sometimes if the teacher is strict, you would also say teacher is bad... So I really dunno how to judge which teacher treated me nice.
                      Thank You xD

My CCA is Infocomm Club. If your child wishes to learn further about technology, you could sent him in here but he would need to be P3 and need him to do a test.Selected pupils would hence could join our club πŸ˜„ .

Really, there would not be any pressure because i had been there since P3(i was selected) and as long your child has the interest for IT and know basic functions of the computer and Mircosoft, they can participate in the Schools Digital Media Awards, Microsoft Office Expert/Specialist.

Teachers in charge of CCAs would also invite you to help them design their CCA Poster too. I designed the CO's poster and i am gald that was totally approved by the teachers. πŸ˜‰ This year, one of our CCA members also got the 1st for Microsoft Office Expert and Merit for Microsoft Office Specialist in Singapore! :rahrah: (that wasn't easy) I got in to MOSpecialist but couldn't participate due to the tight schedule.

Okay, let's change topic---- Wushu right?
Yes, wushu is our strength, our niche! :nunchuk:
If you are not sure how is Wushu like, no Problem because every P2 @ HWS would get to learn wushu. Since every P2 learns wushu, Wushu members has been increasing tremendously!!! :boogie:
If you have been performing well for wushu, you could participate in competitions and received awards!!! Last time when i was @ assembly, the wushu members were announced that they got medals and medals till i :skeptical: . Hope you will be   πŸ˜„ πŸ˜‰
