Airline, Singapore immigration and Changi airport authority should blacklist these passengers!
This is a case of 死赖皮 + 厚脸皮 just want more money for compensation. If it is a case of dissatisfaction, can complain to airline after return home. No need to make such fuss at public places and cause inconvenience to others. -
Resolve only after receiving $280?? Alot of money?? PRC ?? So typical. At first when reading the heading, I thought it was FT in s’pore creating trouble. Luckily the FT here still not so bad.

A group of 159 Chinese national tourists caused a commotion at Changi Airport two days ago.
The group complained that they were starving by the time airline staff deigned to give out meal vouchers at about 7pm in the evening. They also believed that the eateries in Changi Airport deliberately raised food prices when serving them.
huh? :? can meh? i thought all food price are written clearly on the sign board and menu. what rubbish
After dinner, the passengers discovered their flight gate was still closed and could not find any airline staff to answer their queries. Two to three more hours later, they were so angry they decided to protest and force airline staff to appear by blocking the passage to the flight gates.
This resulted in arguments and scuffles between the Chinese national group and other travellers trying to make use of the passage.
i would be angry too if they block my way and if i cant get on my flight who is gonna compensate me?
The police were then called in to manage the situation and to calm the group.
But the complaints didn't end there.
The Chinese national tourists also complained that the police officers looked like they were intending to draw their pistols and use handcuffs on them.
the world knows how these people are good at escalating small matters into major diasters so if i am the police, i would be on guard too.
They even alleged that a female police officer deliberately drove a luggage buggy at them and injured an old woman, who may have broken a finger.

of course police have to tell them this is Singapore and not CHINA. these people probably think we are still part of china and can do whatsoever they like。 我们不是香港或台湾 .
The Changi Airport management has clarified that police officers did not draw their pistols during the incident. Meanwhile, it is investigating the incident.

the airline spokesman clarified that the old woman actually had a fall during the scuffle and hurt her hand. She was given medical treatment and compensation here but demanded for more compensation when the group touched down in HK... :siao: So her claim that a policewoman rammed a trolley into her was just a lie to get more $$$$

I rather believe our moral values/civics consciousness are built on stronger foundations than some China nationals. It's a pity that the great China civilisation has lost precious grounds during the 文化大革命 period. -

No force used on protesters at Changi Airport: Police

Auxiliary and airport police officers discharged their duties professionally in restoring order, said a spokesperson for the police who was responding to a protested staged by travellers at Changi Airport on Tuesday.
A group of Chinese national travellers alleged that police 'assaulted' them while they were blocking a passageway at the airport to protest the 9-hour delay of a Hong Kong Airlines flight from Singapore to Hong Kong.
They later claimed that the police officers had 'assaulted' and even threatened them with their handcuffs and weapons.
A spokesperson from the airline said that security camera footage of the incident showed that Singaporean ground staff had acted appropriately to the situation.
According to the statement from the Singapore Police Force, they had received a call for assistance from Changi Airport Group Customer Service Officer manning the Terminal 2 Information Counter.
The police was told that there was 'rowdy boisterous behaviour from a group of frustrated passengers over issues of compensation they had with their airline arising from a flight delay'.
\"Several members of the Auxiliary Police who were in the vicinity, interfered to get the crowd to remain calm and to co-operate with airline representatives. When Airport Police officers arrived, they assisted the Auxiliary Police to restore order,\" wrote the spokesperson.
\"The CCTV also showed that Auxiliary Police officers who were engaging the passengers did not use a trolley to push it into the group.
\"A female Auxiliary Police officer was in fact, seen drawing her handcuffs when a section of the group began to taunt her.
\"Both Auxiliary and Airport Police officers discharged their duties professionally in restoring order and have ensured that airport operations at the terminal were not interrupted,\" said the statement.
Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
