Though i told the administrator that it was
okay for me not to step inside the classes
since she did seem a little busy, she still
insisted that i at least took a short tour.
I personally toured the place and found the
centre so vibrant with hands on activities.
The kiddies were so involved that even when
there were visitors walking around the premise
they were totally oblivious! That shows how
engaging the lessons were..
Classrooms were very clean, colourful and the
toilets were smelling fresh. Saw that the Phonics
methodology adopted was Jolly Phonics as i saw
some familiar charts and teaching aids around...
The administrator kept apologizing for the lack
of information she cud share with regards to the
curriculum and centre programmes in detail as
she wasn't versed in it at all, but was kind to offer
that i spoke to the Principal herself who was also
very busy with another couple... So, she added tt
i can always call to catch up with the Principal with
regards to the curriculum details.
The teachers were engaged, a few i got to speak
to briefly spoke with sincere and affirming smiles.
Since my kiddies were older, i asked for their
student care programme which was indicated
in their leaflet costing SGD $449.40 per mth..
for children 7yrs to 14yrs old. But was told tt
they were not ready to offer this programme
yet at the moment. But that i can call in later
this year to find out.
They have very small K1 and K2 size and they
wud only have their 1st graduating class end of
this year. So i suppose if these kids follow up
with Student Care then there would be better
demand to employ a proper Student Care staff.
But space may be a problem tho. Cos as it looks
already... the place was full to the brim!
No kids were crying.
The centre officially ran only June this year.
By face value, i'm pretty impressed with the
work done in this centre. -
How about the one at Thomson (MCYS Building)?
Is it good? Anyone has any comments? -

Learning Vision plans to open a new branch within 1 km of Kent Vale. Details will be out soon. The one at IBP is a separate branch. I think all the staff from the current Kent Vale branch will be relocated to the new branch that is within 1 km from Kent Vale. -
thanks so much for your fast reply.
