Hquek
Thanks for the detailed post-mortem. Now I know what to look for
-
There are cashiers on both ends of the halls. And each side I think is divided into 2 portion. When I was making payment on Sunday, one end had queue like 5-10 pp, the other side was empty. No guess as to which one I headed to.

For those keen on TAS books, their creative writing book also going at $12 (I think, pls verify). Nonid to hunt high and low. -
I got some Ammiel Wan assessment books for Maths also. For TAS cw book it is going for same price as the vocabulary book, both $12. Spelling book is $4. When I went yesterday at about 4 plus, the queue was not too bad too. Waited about 15 mins and could go.

not sure if it’s too late. you can find TAS near the big signboard that says ‘E-assessment’.
As an aside, also near that signboard are the books for the chinese ‘little white dragon’ (bought their compo aids and loved it). -

Went to bookfest on Sat, and then Sunday again. Each time strangely I didn't have to queue (Sun - payment was about 1pm+).
I went on 2nd day but slightly earlier & i didn't have to queue either. :hi5:
Besides i really find that they have a good system in place.
Those big events like Sitex and other mega exhibitions can still be quite
messy despite already holding similar expos at large scale. :roll:hquek:
Agree with hquek. Some books are priced lower than what was originally priced and before the 20% discount too, so they are great buys. :rahrah:Generally books at 20% off, chinese I think 30%. I bought some 小白龙compo aids at $5.90 (went to popular store and saw it being sold at $7.40). There are generous discounts on some other assessment books. Liza Tan's creative writing books going at $4.90 - a steal becos the store retails at $7.50 (and I bought a few titles at that price previously).

ABSOLUTE TEMPTATION at this corner! Scholastic resources are located at the booth behind the stage area, you won't miss it! I feel like buying every set of them! :drool:Also a lot of teacher's resource. Saw the scholastic sets for grammar etc. The prices are pretty good actually. I bought the grammar set from amazon long time ago and was surprised that it's available here.
For parents who love to work fun stuff with children at home be it to introduce concepts of learning or to supplement with fun enrichment, these resources are godsend.

Me three! :slapshead:Already got too much stationery and books. Dun think I will be going back again, but yes, next time I will wait till bookfest to get my assessment books. Else, long bia when I see it being sold cheaply again.
I bought quite abit already to avoid mad rush at BookFest and if in case hubs dowan to accompany me (cos sure have to lug heavy things plus the baby! :faint:) but now think it sure is worth the wait. Great discounts.
We also have enuff stocked stationery. My work room is like library cum mini Popular bookstore.
But i bought files to file in their past work. Used to be priced at 6 for $20.90 but at BookFest was only like $11.80.
If i go again, i'm sure to burn more :moneyflies:....
