English Assessment Books

btw, where is this section on Maths Study helpers ? is it lump together with all the Maths assessment books, or in another separate section - under which section ?


what are these Study helpers ? are they just some Maths assessment books, guide books or others ?

Saw several Maths titles under Study Helpers...but definitely have sufficient for P2 Personally, I feel that if this bookfest is on till 27/11, then 'hot' titles which are finished should be replendished...to be fair to parents who go all the way to Suntec.

Managed to grab several titles for P3...some were 4 for $9.90, or else $2.90 each. Most of the titles are either EPH, SAP and Marshall Cavendish. I was very happy but my hubby was shocked when the bill came out to be $175...story books and stationery could also be the cause....hehehe.

I went there on Sunday eve. most of the assesment books were finished. staff around that section looked tired but helpfull. willing to search and find ...

I might go tomorrow afternoon. I saw study helpers but didn buy. i bought elite yesterday at popTPY. some books on sale are not sale in branches that is compo books by Liza T. in pop TPY is not on sale only at suntec.

I love your recommendations for Eng and Math They are do-able...but I try to avoid the challenging titles as my daughter is not up to it. Next week, her teacher at RC will be teaching P2 Math syllabus.

I am the teacher, I will only start when the books arrive(school bks from pacific, this time I asked them to deli.) so now hols…eating playing watching movies go-out- family time…may be from next week???

No worries, we are all here to share.
I am presently using Ace Synthesis & Transformation Skills...can be bought at Big Bookshop at Clementi.
However, this other title came highly recommended by 2 of my friends...It's Synthesis And Transformation [Paperback] by Carolyn Lee.

For english, you can try books by Liza Tan, the model essays there are good, there was a longman creative writing that I bought before about 2 yrs ago but now I can't find it. TAS creative writing book is of course one of the best. I think good to get model compo books because at least you have some idea of what to look out for in your child's writing.

Sorry I cant help much for chinese, I leave that totally to tuition as I cant help with chinese.
