Hi,dagong99,

can share more about bpps, i am quite new to the school, only know that the principal is 3 years old with the school...... and is quite \"ON\"...........but heard some parents of older batch prefer the ex......of late quite high staff turnover .... dont know how true.....(heard from a old cleaner in the school).

The principal was previously from Gan Eng Seng Pri if I didn't remember wrongly. Actually I prefer the current principal. As for the staff turnover, I think is common and we may not know, some of the turnover maybe due to MOE transfer or other personal reasons, etc. There are also some teachers who had been with the school for many years. I was there last Friday during the Prize Giving Ceremony and there were quite a number of staff working there for more than 10 years, receiving their long service award. One of my ex-classmates there is a good example.

Just to share, some of the teachers are also very kind & generous. I still remember when my DS2 was in P1, his teacher promised them any one who got > 95 in any subject will get a free Happy Meal sponsored by her. I still remember that I told him I could provide the same but DS2 said it's different if he got it from his teacher. It's the thought & motivation that counts. Same happened this year with his P3 form teacher. She awarded her pupils with tokens out of her own initative & resources if they do well. And when his form teacher knew that he's going to transfer school, she actually bought a small gift together with a card for him. It was a pleasant surprise & I was very touched & sad at the same time.
Wow, so nice of the teachers. Thanks for sharing...

i heard bpps chinese standard is high..........

at p1 has to do project presentation........ wow kind of stressful... for both parents n kids.....

wah sch starts early ,has to be in school 50min earlier...... cant image if have to take school bus........i guess kids have to take brunch at home if wake up late....

huh? Really? P1 got to do project presentation in Chinese??

BTW, why do you say must be in school 50min earlier? My DS form teacher said must be in school by 12.40pm.

oh i mean general presentation and not in any particular subject, anyway i think is a good practise for the the kids........

i tot the school starts at 1.30pm? so 50min from 12.40pm. so early.......

            hi

            dagoog99,

wow,,,,personally i think change class every year may not be too good especially for girls who are more emotional.......after building good friendship got to say sayonara to them ......i know some girls get affected when their good friends are in different class from them,

it is true that best teachers n resources will be assigned to best class? bpps has remedial class for all students or only the weak 1......starting from p1?

D Busy Bee is it locates at railway mall? i called up quite sometime ago i tot the class is quite big like 12 to 15 ? may i check the resources is good or the teacher?

oh.... they r good in chinese composition and comprehension ???????? i am looking for 1 for my ds going p3. He is quiet......i am afraid big class may not benefit him.
Having different classmates every year has benefits for my DS1, he knows almost all students in his level n almost all knows him, so seems to widen his social circle n they really enjoy one another's company. Almost all are friends in Facebook, surprised when I first saw his Facebook friend list.

Ya at rail mail but mostly likely will be put on waiting list if you r new. Their writing materials r good. So far both my DS benefited from it.

Not to worry if your kid is quiet now, he will outgrown it. 😄

My DS2 in P3 this year, he is waiting for his posting results for school transfer, if no more vacancy left, we will still place him in BPPS.

yup, DS2 managed to get into GEP, so trying Nan Hua as it is the nearest to Bt Panjang & most convenient for me, DS1 is going to NUSHS next year, I'm working in Jurong, so I can send & fetch all in one go. Yup, within 1 km but I was an ex-PV in Phase 2B during my DS enrolment time.
