I am a STay at home mum. My boy is already 11 years old. When he was a BB, I wished he can grow up fast. Now, I wish he was still a BB. Time really flies so fast that I felt everything just happened yesterday and he is already so big. I was a FTWM & only become SAHM this year.

Mine too, the one and only dd, I tend to feel guilty whenever I see her playing alone and chatting with her soft toys

              Hi

Actually I am so glad to know you ladies as I am
Sure many would be experiencing being asking 'when
ur second one coming' thou it sound Like a normal
But I don really like the idea. I'm sure it applies to us all
As it is just presurising. Anyway now I try
Not to take it hard anymore. Hehe

In fact it not me idea not wanting another bb, whenever
I ask my son he would say he don want didi or Meimei. This
Cutie really know how to possess me and hb.
Anyway we r happy wt our only one. :)))

Mine 9 this year, I just stopped working a few months ago to takecare of my son due to his sch poor CCA timing. So I am now the full time maid in the house. 😛

I used to only see him a 1-2hrs at night... poor him no one to play with and talk to except his granny, but he is rather independent. Mostly DIY his work himself and watch TV shows with his granny.

                  Hello...

                  Can I join too?

My DS will be in K1 next yr. I'm a SAHM. And yes, I ALWAYS get the \"are you pregnant?\" (okay, my fault...I look pregnant.) or \"When is number two coming?\" Or \"Don't stop at one...\" Of course, the \"you only have one, you don't understand...\" also gets to me.

??? I've been trying for another one since he was 18 months old. Other people have had one or two more children during that time! Oh well... 🙂

I would love to have more but right now, am also very content with the One. Obviously, since he's the only one, to me, he is unique. haha.

Welcome, johmom! So you take care of ur darling boy on your own since birth? I really envious those mummies who have the flair to take care of newborn babies. I super scared that I will drop my boy when he was a BB at that time. Everything I carried him, I will hold him very tight & the poor boy kept crying and I dont know why? Now of course I know why! And that night I will have nightmare that I dropped him while carrying him!

Haha... I admit it can be daunting...just that I've forgotten it already 🙂

What I remember is that I let the nursery in the hospital do as much as possible except for the last morning (I stayed 39 hrs) when they said I should at least try diapering and feeding (he's bottle fed)...so I did it once in the hospital. After that I told them to carry on...cos I'll have lots of practice once I'm out of the hospital. 😄

I didn't have help, so since it wasn't an option, I guess that helps.

There have been times when I have thought about putting him in infant care or childcare...but I can't bring myself to pay for it (kiam siap).

Time really flies...he's coming to 5 already! Easier and easier for now...until he starts Pri sch.

711mum, don't worry about your DD talking to her soft toys. My DD does the same too, and I think it's perfectly normal for an only child. In fact, I think playing and talking with her soft toys as if they are alive helps build creativity in her. I sometimes observe my DD playing with her soft toys like her companions, and I think that is creativity and social interactions at play. 🙂
