Yesterday i went to popular JP to search for shaping maths : maths builder assessment book for P2. But was disappointed as could not locate it.

Even the popular staff said that only P3 and above books only are available.
Anyone knows if the book for P2 is obselete or going to be reprinted?

The title is still avail. Kiasu mum here has the P2A/B. Why not call Popular Toa Payoh / IMM and ask if they can transfer to convenient branch near you? Visible Thinking assessment also having discount now...just started yest. As usual  I went ga-ga yesterday while passing time till daughter's concert started.

what is good abt math builder?

Its topical approach aids pupils by revisiting and reinforcing specific concepts, skills and strategies through ample oractice questions. Pupils are tested on their understanding of concepts on each topic so that they can be ensured of a strong foundation. Questions are carefully sequenced to build greater confidence in pupils and make the learning of Mathematics a positive and rewarding experience.

The section on Challenging Questions at the end of every chapter presents an opportunity for pupils to enhance their problem-solving skills and broaden their higher-order thinking skills.

Continual and Semestral Assessments are also included to reinforce concepts and provide complete consolidation to aid pupils in their preparation for tests and examinations.

              Smartmummy,
              You are fast! :celebrate:

For the above 2 books, I still see them around in Popular JP Branch 😄 Maybe you like to check with the sales staff and check whether they able to assist you to transfer from other branches to the one nearest to you?

Oh, you mean past year exam papers need higher order thinking skills? Definitely agree that upper level is more difficult and challenging 😓 😓

Hi, I have all the three books but the orange book is collecting dust. I agree that the orange one is the easiest and A* is the toughest. A* can be used by P5 as the kids have already learnt the topics.

Which book to buy is really dependent on the child. If the child is still struggling with basic concepts, then the orange book or even Andrew Er challenging maths is good enough. But if the child is already doing well in maths, then A* will be appropriate for him to practise real difficult qns. Whatever we do, we should not demoralize the child and dampen his confidence and interest for maths. 🙂

                    Hi

If you don't mind, could you tell me what is this orange book? I was going thro this thread and looks like I missed it. Thank you in advance.
